The Old Imperial Hotel is one of the oldest accommodations in the historic town of Youghal. Built in the 18th century, it was used as a stage coach stop for the Bianconi Line. Located in the heart of the town, yet only a 1 km walk from the sea front, The Old Imperial Hotel is committed to providing excellent service and value to all our guests. With a fantastic location just off the N25, each of our 18 spacious en-suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated with complimentary WIFI, and tea and coffee making facilities. All 18 of en-suite bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind. Accommodation includes a range of superior rooms, standard double rooms and twin and single rooms. We have two smallies and the car park in the back within eyeshot of the outdoor tables was a game changer. Could enjoy our meal when they were resting in the back. Also buy a main course and get the kids meal free. We also happened upon two for one Cocktails on a Tuesday another day we walked down. All in all a great experience. We came here 3 times in 10 days.

Regular visitors for many years for lunch, great menu but left disappointed with experience, my daughter ordered wrap with coleslaw but slaw was first not served with order and after request side order of coleslaw was a little sour. We just mentioned to staff and were immediately rebuffed with assurance it was only a different mayo then we were accustomed to in a curt manner. I also was left waiting by for horseradish for beef as a side request and got some mix of cream with toss of spice as a cover up half way through meal, it was obviously not available. It would have been easy to say sorry for any mix up, sides were not available ,accept slaw was not so fresh and we’d have been happy, however the attitude was poor and trying to cover up stale food and condiments they had not provision of was poor customer service and left us with no confidence and a negative feel for the service, will not return soon. …

Had the most delicious dinner which was a Cauliflower Steak option served with delicious potatoes and rice. We paired it with a taste of more yum New Zealand Sauvignon blanc and then followed dinner with a great Jamaican Eton mess for dessert- wow Yummm

Had a family lunch here last sunday lovely as usual my grandsons love it here staff are allways so nice we will be back keep up good work as i work in a nearby hotel its a lovely treat to go someplace else for meal

Family of 5 , called in here this evening with no booking but were made feel very welcome from the off even though the restaurant was bustling. Food was excellent and very well priced compared to similar places around the country. Great selection on the kids menu with great portions. Staff and service all excellent . Also a great pint of Guinness here which is always a plus.

My family and I stopped in with friends there was 11 in total in our party from once we entered the staff were nothing but helping and accomadating to everything that we wanted but that was not the highlight of our experience it was the food starter main course and even the desserts. I would have to say compliments to the chef the food was absolutely fabulous I can not recommend any one dish because we all had deferent dishes and they were all fabulous once agin thank you to the staff

The hotel entrance should be more signage to show where reception is but it's at the back well signed. The whole experience was amazing. Clean fresh and new design inside an old building. Room immaculate and all channels on TV and had spare blanket and pillows which we needed. No breakfast served in hotel but the cook offered us toast and orange juice. We got top up if coffee and teas and milk and cups for the room. It had easy access from first floor although no lift for disabled customers. Easy to go out for a smoke and also had covered dining out area . Staff friendly and you were left alone without being bothered. Front of house rooms mouser than back but we didn't mind. I will definitely be returning there. Thank you to all staff in hotel for a wonderful stay. Xxx

We took a day trip down to Youghal and after a long walk we decided to head in here for some dinner. We got Chicken wings €12.50 and they were very nice and large. The Caesar salad €11.50 was delicious my Mother said. The cheese cake €6.50 It had a fudgie base and wasn't that great. The menu was very reasonably priced and The staff were very nice. We will definetly give this place another visit next time we are in Youghal.

Myself and my husband stayed in this hotel Jan this year. Rooms was spacious, Comfortable and very clean. Also great price for Sat night. We eat in the the restaurant that day all I can say is the food was 10 out 10. Onion rings were to die for. Also the staff and owners were very nice, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Youghal is a great little town to visit and the hotel in very central to all amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel. They also have a place called brunch and lunch up the road. Food is fantastic there as well.
