Trea and Kevin are lovely hosts and make you feel welcome on this beautiful piece of land. The campground is beautifully located and it almost does not feel like you are on a campground at all. Despite this there is a little kitchen (with a pizza oven!) that comes in handy when it is raining and you want to eat... More

Hi Annabell, Thank you for taking the time to review our site. We are really happy that you had a nice experience with us and that there was so much you liked about the site. Not sure when you stayed, but I'm guessing one of the picnic tables was over near the campfire which is just beside the sauna. I'm... More

At first we had some trouble getting there, because we went there by bus and it was delayed. Make sure you arrive in Kilkee before 9 pm otherwise it could happen that you don't get a taxi ( as it happened to us) nontheless we get a lift to the camp by the owner we called! He was so friendly... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this lovely account of your experience here. Pity that the weather was so bad for you. Fair play to you all, you made the most of it. The sauna is a great way to get warm and to beat the rainy days. It was lovely to have you here. Hope... More

This campsite is fantastic. The facilities were as follows: Standard Shower and toilet block, use of which was included in the €8 p.p. camping charge, eco showers, eco sauna, camper's kitchen area (With a clay pizza oven)!! There is a large dome for kids to play in and I think there are also yoga classes available onsite.

Pure Camping is a great place for kids to get mucky, make friends and have adventures in the forest. This is a family run campsite. The owners are really friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. Facilities are basic and clean. The location is close to lots of great walks and swimming spots. we stay for a week a great time.

Clean, tidy, warm, friendly, peaceful. What else do you need. Spent a few unforgettable days here. Every care is forgotten within minutes . The car is over there. Do I really need to go driving ? No I don't. I'll just sit here with my book thank you. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was exactly the break... More

This campsite is amazing. On arrival, Kevin gave us a tour and and told us about the different camping options - woodland clearings for 'wild camping' (or privacy and protection from the wind) or the main campsite with easy access to facilities. There really is everything you need here (and more) - a shared cooker, 2 washing up sinks, washing... More

Thank you for the lovely review. Received the pegs in the post ... thanks !! What a crazy summer for wind. Two days during the summer had people running for their cars during the early hours of the morning. There were some hardy souls who decided they would stick it out til the last .... until their tent poles broke... More

We stayed in Pure camping for two weeks in July/August. We had a brilliant time. The kids loved the freedom that a no car site brings and we loved the people we met, the pizza oven, the campfire and the general feeling at the site. It was all very relaxed and easy going (but with a pretty strict no noise... More

A friend mine told me about this place referring to it as a "hippy campsite" :) , so I decided to stay there on my cycle tour. It's not actually a place where hippy's hang out, but it has that kind of vibe I guess :) First thing I was welcomed by the owner who got me a discounted rate... More

Many thanks for your entertaining review :) That chilled, 'hippy' is the vibe that we like to exude, even though its not always possible to keep it that way. I have to defend Betty and Jack our donkeys and say that 'Jacksy' the shore donkey is probably the one to blame for the mid night braying from time to time... More

We spent a wonderful long weekend in Purecamping. Kevin and Trea are great hosts. We enjoyed Kevin's "pizza class" and Trea's campers yoga. We had our dog with us as did many campers, but all were on leads and not disruptive. The campsite had a lovely welcoming feel to it, the facilities were very clean and ecofriendly, and the "inside... More

We went as a family on our holidays and we all loved it. Great to have the option of camping on the main site or 'wild camping'. The owners have gone to so much trouble to make the forest child friendly and ensure they don't get lost. The children made great friends and loved it. We loved sitting around the... More
