Went to the courtyard last weekend to meet up with some friends from home. The setting is nice however the bar service is very poor. I ordered 4 drinks (eventually) after standing at the counter for what must have 15 mins as one young barman/loungeboy ran up and down behind the counter with what looked like no purpose. From there... More

We had the most amazing day at the courtyard for our daughter Rosie's christening party, We booked out the piano bar,it was a gorgeous room that also had a lovely outdoor area,we decided to have bbq food for all our guests and have to say it was the best decision as everyone couldn't get over how amazing the food was,Andy... Nice hotel in a great location, setting is surprisingly nice in the centre of a small town. Rooms are furnished well and spotless. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bar and outdoor area are great for a few quiet drinks. Hotel is definitely a step above a 3 star but struggles to live up to its 4 stars.

Our arrival at the Courtyard was wet and warm. Gabrielle made us feel welcome and took care of our luggage while we waited for our appointed room. We were a tad early so headed to a cosy spot in the bar where we enjoyed a quiet drink and socialised with a local, Tommy. People were friendly and courteous. Our room... More

Stayed here with 15 friends for golf break in early September. The hotel is set in lovely grounds, which makes it difficult to locate at first. The hotel has a lovely warm character. The restaurants do great food and the service was efficient. There is a lively local bar attached to hotel offering live music most nights. The rooms are... More

We chose this hotel to stay because it is quite near to Olive's care home near Kilcock. At first it seems difficult to find a way in, but after you find the public car park and drive through keeping left, then the hotel's car park is just around to the left and then navigating through it's own barrier. The premesis... More

The rooms are large, clean ,quiet and comfortable, the staff is friendly, efficient and very helpful, there are good parking facilities right by the door. Overall, very good value for money, and warmly recommended. Very convenient if you are driving to or from the West.

Stayed for two nights - booked the executive room. Not cheap place to stay and the brochure suggests it is a bit niche and trendy. Another review mentioned the decor manages to look effortlessly old, and that sums it up. The wallpaper seems are turning, The tiles have filler to remind us of hairdriers or sockets long gone, and the... More

Stayed here recently for a wedding, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and a great selection also from Breakfast to Dinner. Setting of the Hotel is beautiful on the banks of the Liffey in the old town of Leixlip, the hotel its self was the original Guinness brewery and the Guinness family still live in... More
