We enjoyed the friendly, family atmosphere. We were also delighted that Conor seemed to have the time to talk to us and tell about things that interested us - he lent us books and maps. An impromptu evening of traditional Irish music was a highlight of our stay. We had a very large, comfortable en-suite room with lovely views. Cappabhaile... More

As the previous posters have said, this B&B is outstanding. Large, clean, well-furnished rooms. Good location. Excellent breakfast. We expected all that based on prior reviews. We did not expect to find the proprieter, Conor, to be so knowledgeable and helpful with our genealogy search. He went above and beyond - searching internet sites, sharing his knowledge of Irish history.... More

We reserved (and confirmed) a room at the B&B next door to Conor's guesthouse (BurrenView) and arrived at 6pm after a long day of driving from Dingle. The owner somehow gave our room away (?!), which was very distressing (see that review). We ended up at Cappabhalle House in quite a tizzy. Conor took care of us better than any... More

This B&B has all of the qualities one looks for - location is excellent for touring the Burren; the breakfast was very good; the rooms were large, clean and very well furnished; and, most importantly, the staff was outstanding and provided exceptionally good advice on how to tour the Burren and also provided sound advice for our travels to our... I could talk about how beautiful and clean the place is, or how hearty and well organised the breakfast is. But this was simply fulfilling my expectations. I did not expect the parlour to contain toys and games for all ages. I did not expect Conor, the owner, to efficiently advise us regarding the rest of our trip. and I... More

As accommodation goes this is tops.. Great rooms, great views, very large, very comfortable, lovely decor... They were Very clean and the bed was most comfortable.. The breakfast was a real surprise, you get loads and loads of choice. My wife counted 24 different breakfast options and the cheese and fruit platter was to-die-for; All really fresh. The staff were... More

Absolutely in agreement with all the other reviewers. Large, comfortable, quiet and well-appointed rooms, terrific breakfast choices, and generous and informative hosts. There is nothing to complain about or even suggest an improvement upon. Not only would we stay again if we were in the area, we would likely try to configure plans to absolutely find ourselves in the area... More

I agree with the other positive reviews, Conor and Margaret have a great place here and are a tremendous resource for having a great time in west Clare. Our interest was primarily in the Neolithic and Iron Age sites in the area, and Conor was a great help in locating ones that were off the signposted trail. He also suggested... More

This was our first visit to Ireland and also our first B&B. I was well pleased with this B&B. Conor and Margaret did a splendid job of caring for our needs with suggestions, assistance with getting our lost baggage from Boston to Ireland, and for always having a smile and a joke or two. We enjoyed music one night and... More

Cappabhaile House was the first stop on our two-week trip to Ireland, and it lived to up all expectations. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean, and breakfast was wonderful. Our host, Conor, proved to be a great lover of Irish folk music, and especially the folk singer Christy Moore -- and his wife Margaret managed to score tickets for... More
