My wife and I stayed in the Hotel for four nights in mid-July. The first noticeable thing on entering through the front door, was a peculiar odour, which was not very pleasing. The receptionist was quite young, pleasant and helpful. Our room, on the middle floor, was spacious and clean with free wifi. We stayed on a bed & breakfast... More

My wife and I made the trip to ballyvaughan for a night away and stayed in Hylands burren hotel. On entering the hotel we were greeted by a friendly man called David who checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was bright and spotless. We dined in the Italian restaurant down the street called L'Arco (which... More

During our sightseeing bus tour we stopped at this hotel for some lunch. I can only say that the beef and barley stew as well as the goats cheese salad are out of this world. The service was really good and food was as I said delicious. If you are travelling through this part of the world I highly recommend... More

Nice stay in a quiet hotel. Had a couple different sitting areas we could meet as family and enjoy a whiskey after dinner. Dinner in the pub two nights - excellent service. Delicious fish and chips - all 11 in our group ordered them one night and were all happy. The music in the pub both nights was grand, head... More

We went here for lunch. The menu was good but the staff didn't seem that interested in doing anything. We chose the seafood chowder as we like to compare all the different variations. It took ages to get served although it didn't appear to be overly busy. The chowder was hot but had no flavour. There was white fish and... More

I was impressed with the Tripadviser reviews of this place and was eager to spend an evening in an Irish village, hanging out in a pub. We arrived on a Wednesday night, and everything seemed dead. The Hylands Burren is run down and a bad smell permeates the hallways, vestibule, and even pub. We did not establish any relationships with... More

We stayed here in May, and the hotel was situated in the centre of town. Lovely bright, clean room, with very good size bathroom, with good shower. Wifi worked well, (we were on top floor) Breakfast was very good, and plentiful Had drinks in the bar before going out to dinner. Friendly staff

our room, while large, had no window that could open, only a skylight overhead, which made it insufferably hot in June. the dinner downstairs had overpriced average food, coupled with service that was attentive from one server, then utterly rude from several others. had our plates nearly thrown at us. couldn't find anyone to bring us a check at the...
