Stayed in the Wild Atlantic hotel in Ballyvaughan recently. An excellent place to stay when touring the Burren. It was quiet when we arrived, so check in was fast and efficient. Our room was a standard double but clean and cosy if a bit dated and had tea/coffee making facilities. Both floor boards and bed creaked somewhat, but bed was... More

Dined here for birthday celebration on 15th July 2016. The food was exceptional. A very friendly atmosphere and friendly staff added to our experience. Great menu choices The fresh crab starter was to die for, the salmon main and warm brownie dessert were the best I have ever tasted. Managed to get the recipe for the brownie! Can't wait to... More

As we were staying in Ballyvaughan, we enquired as to the best places to eat out in. The Wild Atlantic was suggested and it wasn't a disappointment . Staff were friendly and helpful. Place was spacious. There was no choice for vegetarians / vegan other than what was on the menu. Which was delicious but not true vegan. I would... More

Traditionally when we visit Ballyvaughan, our port of call is Monks seafood bar , so to our extreme disappointment we found it no longer open for business. We turned our car around and circled the village in search for a restaurant where we could sit outside. Not that the weather was entirely in our favour, we were attired for rain... More

The greatest load of muck food I've ever experienced. Don't even bother crossing the threshold to this place. Terrible food and terrible service. Tasteless soggy pulled pork, no flavour, no seasoning. Even though it was quiet on onus visit, waited ages for service. In this day and age how could you justify charging for that experience.

I was so impressed by this humble hotel. The best food I've ever had anywhere. Free range chicken.. The beef is locally grown and it just fell apart it was so tender. My wife and I have been to many 5 star hotels in Ireland , yet the food here was just outstanding. The best value I ve ever come... More

Along Main Street and easy to find you will find friendly staff, delicious food served from a varied menu at very reasonable prices. Good atmosphere and not too busy. It did confuse us when we saw a pub on either side with the Wild Atlantique in the middle but it is really all one!

We enjoyed our one-night stay in the Wild Atlantic Lodge, which has an excellent location in the centre of Ballyvaughan and is thus a good base for touring the Burren and north Clare. The property is integrated with a bar and a restaurant and a few metres from L’Arco, currently Ballyvaughan’s best dining venue (there aren’t many, following three recent... More

Had dinner here tonight. The quality of the food was exceptional. And the flavours and way it was cooked was perfect. And so reasonably priced. I would go as far as to say the pan fried cod I had in here was one of the nicest meals I have ever had in Ireland. Great restaurant, nice bar, nice atmosphere and... More

This is really an excellent place! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar is big but because of the different little corners it's really cosy. They serve excellent food in the restaurants which is redecorated 2 months ago. The rooms are big enough and clean, the only thing is that the beds are very wobbly and the walls... More
