We have just spent another wonderful week at Rathmullan House. Everything was perfect breakfast with a great choice of cold and cooked dishes and lots of fruit from the walled garden, lunches were good but definitely the highlight of the day was dinner. We choose something different every evening but mostly fish or duck dishes and they were all excellent... More

We only live about 15 minutes away and last night was our first trip to Rathmullan House, what a find!! We have lived in the area for 11 years and we are kicking ourselves for not visiting sooner. We had an hour or so to kill before we dined so we sat in the lounge and enjoyed a nice bottle... More

We stayed here for 2 nights attending a wedding. The hotel is a mix of newly built rooms around a old house. The hotel is a short walk away from the beach and has lovely views over Loch Swilly. We stayed in a superior room on the ground floor which was lovely. The room and the bathroom were both large... More

The overall impression is just gorgeous, and the interiors are tasteful and fun, a nod to the past, yet present. Superb dining and a lovely relaxing lounge - each spot a delight to be. Looking forward to my next visit!

We drove up a long road to the drive into Rathmullan House and saw the splendour of the building and grounds. It was late in the afternoon, the sun was shining and people were sat at tables on the lawn having afternoon tea/coffee. Everything looked idyllic. The drive in the hotel grounds was made of large loose hard-core all the... More

Extended family gathering enjoyed dinner mid-week in the main dining room, and we had a marvellous time. With 11 of us we enjoyed many of the dishes on the menu, including lovely scallop starters, and the local lamb and fresh fish mains were a delight also. Can't remember which wine we had, think it might have been a shiraz, was... More

We stayed for three nights, midweek, and were bowled over. The standard double room was spacious and well equipped, although it was twin beds pushed together, not quite the same height. A highlight was the stunning meal in the Cook and Gardener restaurant - sublime seafood and fish, excellent gluten free offerings and delicious wine. Also loved the lounge areas,... More

Stayed in older part of the hotel - originally a family home - and there were many artefacts which reminded me of my grandmother's house. Shabby chic much in evidence, but thoroughly in keeping. Cannot say enough for the staff - most pleasant, friendly and professional. Food was delicious, seasonal and beautifully served. A small problem with the bill when... More

A lovely place to stay . The bedrooms are so comfortable and welcoming, we even had a jar of homemade biscuits. The public rooms are beautifully decorated and are full of interest.. Stayed here last week, sadly only for one night, on a touring holiday in Ireland, and this was our favourite hotel at the end of the trip. The room was huge and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden although it was a very long trek from Reception (but they did help my husband with the cases). We enjoyed... More
