My husband and I recently stayed here as a treat for our Anniversary. From start to finish it was an excellent and thoroughly relaxing stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the character of the house is beautiful. Will definitely return.

How this hotel is only rated 4 stars defies logic! A tranquil setting in beautiful grounds with a large expanse of beach approached through the garden, this is heaven in Ireland. The staff are all friendly, helpful and very well presented, they all seem to take ownership of the hotel and care for guests as welcome friends, brilliant. Dinner was... More

This hotel pretends to very laid-back and relaxed, so that you feel like that as well. But it is run in a way to ensure excellence at every turn. It achieves this by having such fantastic staff. Not only are they all without exception charming, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, but they are all empowered to deliver whatever you want whenever... More

Although we were not staying at the hotel on this occasion (have in the past) we called in for dinner. This has to be one of my favourite restaurants, if not my most favourite restaurant, in all of Ireland. The food is absolutely wonderful, so fresh and lovely and hot (I cannot abide lukewarm food). I had the roast tomato... More

This wonderfully relaxing hotel is classified as 4 star but you get 5 star plus service. Beautiful rooms, great food but best of all the friendly and helpful staff. They will go to any length to make sure you are enjoying your stay, they always have time to talk and to advise on things to do and see in this... More

We spent three days here and loved it! I would say not a place for kids but maybe just this time of the year? Full of Character and old world charm but very efficiently run. On Check in Penny was so lovely and helpful. Our room was very big with a balcony, big bathroom with a big shower. Really great... More

Rathmullan House is perfectly located for anyone getting off the (summer-only) ferry from Buncrana. It's a great place to take lunch, either in the comfortable bar area or if it's not raining outside on tables on the lawns. Sandwiches and soups are excellent and not hugely overpriced. It's a delight to walk three or four minutes down to the beach... More

First visit this year to the tap room.. Beautiful grounds which the kids can run freely and safely. Excellent kinnegar draught beer, freshly made pizzas on the outdoor pizza oven. Pizzas have increased in price this year to fourteen euros each for our favourite. All in all, it's location, friendly staff, and the good weather made a good day out..

Have never been here before but will be back. Sooner rather than later. Arrived and immediately felt at home. Check-in was like meeting an old friend: how had the journey been ? Did it take long ? You look tired: can I do anything for you ? The bedroom was stunning: big enough to play tennis in, roll-top bath in... More

We came here for a wedding and the food they served was absolutely amazing - probably the best wedding food I've ever had. Lovely location too and perfect for the couple getting married. Unfortunately we had to stay in one of the little cottages nearby but all the other guests seemed pleased with their rooms.
