REVIEW ON HOLIDAY HOME We stayed in an apartment adjacent to the hotel. We had Avoca 1 on the ground floor which is accessed via a small lobby. All the rooms are off a hallway. There is one bathroom at the end, a good sized master with very comfy king sized bed, the second bedroom is a twin but very...

We weren't sure what to expect from a hotel that calls itself a castle, but we were very happy here! The entire interior from the lobby to the halls on each floor are ornate and really charming. The staff are very friendly, and the waiters in the restaurant were superb. Each of them incredibly friendly and accommodating, the chef himself...

Yes the hotel is getting a make over... but old style service and manners are still available..like turning your bed down in the evening providing nice mint chocolates each night..mannerly service from all staff..clean comfortable large family rooms. We ate in the Dungeon.. yes the Dungeon.. may well be dark but the food namely the steak will brighten the place.....

We had a nice stay at this hotel on the final night of a 3000+ mile trip all around Ireland. We enjoyed a meal in the Dungeon Pub where the EURO 2016 Football was on a large screen projection television. The view the next morning from the top of Killiney Hill in Killiney Hill Park was well worth the mostly...

Stayed for one night to catch up with an old friend. Apart from how tired the place looks & feels the service is very slow with staff not observant & seem not to be trained at all The table in the foyer should be used to display afternoon tea options. Felt very flat after our visit & was thankful it...

Revisited this hotel after 30 years. The hotel has had a bizarre paint job done on the outside. It is now a weird purple and yellow. Personally I preferred it grey. The main lounge/bar area is huge and a mix match of styles. Calm relaxing music. Art Deco lighting and fireplaces. A complete random collection of chairs and tables to...

Stayed in 2br 2ba apt via RCI exchange. This makes a hotel room seem like a jail cell. Fabulous: lr with 42" flat screen tv, gas log fireplace, sofabed couch, kitchen double oven, 4 burner stove, microwave, washer& dryer, and more. Nothing was missing.

No welcome here, just a very perfunctory check in from a very pleasant receptionist. No local maps, or any local information was offered. We are grateful to other guests who graciously helped us up the steps, and into the hotel with our bags. A very personable young gentleman assisted us with our bags to our rooms [3]. Bedrooms are very...
