What a great find. I was heading to Cork from Dublin - but too tired to continue, so came off the motorway. Had been stuck in a Garda checkpoint traffic jam. I wasn't cranky ... but I was a bit 'over it' !! Friendly lady on reception, nice spacious room. Cheerful waiter in the bar & the food was absolutely delicious .... A great find ...when we are all allowed out again, I would love to come back for a weekend and sit in the library / bar ! Would love to visit 'The Vee' and The Swiss Cottage.

Friendliness and old world charm mixed with a quality fitted room and a great breakfast. I liked the food, the bar, the room and the location. Best of all was the greeting during difficult Covid-19 times.

We stayed one night after a long day hiking and it was perfect for our needs, The staff are fantastic, friendly and efficient and happy to help. Bar food was good and everywhere felt fresh and clean. After a great nights sleep the breakfast was hot freshly cooked and tasty.

Had a lovely couple of days with family at Cahir House Hotel, rooms were spotless, food was good but the one thing that stood out was the friendly staff. Every one of them we met were welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They are the reason I would revisit again. Thanks so much for the great stay!

A friendly welcome from the receptionist (the 'Essex' girl) last Thursday set the tone for our stay at this treasure of a location. The room was immaculate with a terrific view of the hotel gardens, the turrets of Cahir Castle and the Galtee Mountains beyond. We had a very enjoyable supper and a few nightcaps. This was a wonderful find. We just called in to see had they rooms and we were traeted with great civility, courtesy and friendliness. Cahir is a beautiful town. Unfortunately the Castle and other attractions were closed to the public; but do take a walk along the river suir to the Swiss Cottage. We will visit again and stay at Cahir House.
