For the price the imperial is reasonably fair for what you get. The decoration is somewhat old- carpet floor etc the beds in the room are actually quite comfortable however there were rips on one of the seats and parts of the walls and ceilings would need repainted and redecorated due to cracks etc The breakfast the following morning was... Extremely dated rooms with plaster coming off the walls! Shower was freezing cold and the heating did not seem to be working in the room. Staff, especially at reception are so nice so it's hard to leave a bad review however the standard of the rooms is not up to scratch considering this hotel is the same price as much... More

Stay here on a Sunday night wasn't expecting much just a room with basic cleanliness and a TV. Staff were polite and helpful. But that's about as good as it gets. Changed room three times Room 1. Mould all over bathroom and tv didn't work Room 2. Room clean but you can hear everything going on in street below and... More

Spent one night here on 25th June.Rooms need a serious upgrade.Still use old keys for rooms, and when someone lets the door close behind them, it closes with a loud bang.TV in room had no sound. The bar is nice, with little alcove areas and is reasonably priced.Breakfast was very good, as are the staff. The only thing going for this... More

We stayed here for 2 night's, hotel is in a central location & reception staff were helpful. There is a bar on the first floor which came in handy for my partner who was gasping for a pint of Guinness after a two hour drive. The room was fine, however, our control did not work for the tv (we didn't... More

My husband and I stayed at the Imperial for 2 nights early April for our anniversary, and we had a great stay. It's all about location close to shops, restaurants and bars with free car parking at the back of the hotel. The hot breakfast was very good. Jacqui on reception was brilliant- a real asset to the hotel. Thank you for... More

Stayed here last week, wasn't expecting anything amazing only somewhere to lay my head! Our room had no heating, no toilet paper, no hot water for a shower and what did come out of the shower hose was nothing shy of a cold dribble. Also the reception phone was non operational , in order to contact reception we had to... More

The hotel on arrival seems nicely decorated and clean, until you exit the lift on the bedroom floors and it pretty much goes down hill from there. Strange musty smell in the room, no tv remote, wifi is non existent - even in the bar area. The room was extremely dated and quite grubby, I definitely wouldn't be walking on... More

Booked here at short notice to break up a journey and was very impressed. Staff are wonderful here, from the lovely lady in reception, friendly night porter and cheerful waitress in the morning. Lovely freshly cooked to order breakfast. Clean comfortable rooms. Can highly recommend .
