TIt was a great experience. Arrived in the afternoon the hostess and her husband were very friendly. We were offered tea as soon as we arrived. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The hosts drove us into Blackrock on Sat night. The breakfast was excellent and service was very good. Before we booked out on the 27th we were given tea and biscuits again. There was no rush to leave. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend this lovely cosy B7B to anyone. Most enjoyable.
We recently stayed in Keernaun House, for an overnight stay. from the moment we arrived, ( from old Dublin Road) we knew the location was perfect, at the junction of the main road. The host greeted us at the door and helped carry our bags upstairs. Tea & Coffee making facilities in the room. we got a key to the front door of the premises to allow us to come & go as we please. Host informed us of places nearby to eat.Fresh towels on each bed, in addition to the towels in the bathroom. Very spacious rooms. and all very clean. adequate sockets for charging phones etc. We ate in Sextons bar, just up the road, would highly recommend the food, lovely bar & friendly staff. Breakfast in the B&B next morning was self service to hot brewing coffee, and a selection of teas ( with freshly made tea tot he table) and selection of cereals, and a menu of hot cooked breakfast also. Nothing was a problem. Lovely owners, very friendly and a very homely B&B. Great value…
We arrived late evening and Neil was right there at the front door to welcome us. He was so very friendly and he made us feel right at home. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable! Breakfast was wonderful: buffet cereals and a great selection of hot breakfast choices off a menu. We mentioned that we wanted to play and, not only did Neil make recommendations, he lent us a set of golf clubs and an electric cart. It gets better. Neil told us to keep his golf gear for the three days we were traveling and to return the gear on our way back to the airport! This was incredible generosity which is reflective of Neil and his whole approach to guests at Keernaun House B & B.
We had a very pleasant stay at the B&B, on doing a road trip to Slane Castle and to Blackrock village. Room we had was very comfortable, hosts friendly and welcoming, and the Full Irish is definitely recommended for breakfast!
Excellent location, great food, very clean and superlative hosts. The beautiful seaside village of Blackrock is just at the bottom of the hill and the accommodation is close to Dundalk and the Dublin-Belfast Motorway. Hosts Neil and Theresa went out of their way to make me feel at home. Breakfasts were generous and very reasonable. Views of the Cooley Mountains from Blackrock are stunning. Can't recommend this accommodation too highly.
