My partner, baby and I had lunch in the Bay View hotel, Waterville, Kerry yesterday. While there we placed our baby in the highchair they provided us with. Just after I took my baby out of the highchair, the parasol from the table next to us became dislodged and came flying towards the highchair pole end first. It smacked the... More

We had a nice lunch here while enjoying our journey on the ring of Kerry. I shared the fish and chips with my friend and we were not disappointed. I also ordered the vegetable soup and it was very tasty. My Irish coffee was excellent. The service was very good and the waitress was also very helpful when we are... More

We stayed here for one night in April. The hotel is dilapidated and in urgent need of repair and maintenance. The hotel is very centrally located with great views of the seafront but that is as good as it gets. Parts of the hotel were in very poor condition with stained carpets, old furniture and boarded up rooms. The room... More

I go to Waterville every couple of weeks for the fly fishing. I wouldn't stay anywhere else to be honest. Staff are friendly, the rooms are big & comfy with a great view & the hotel is located smack bang in the middle of town. I hear rumours that the place is closing down which I hope are not true... We stayed in the bayview hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay last week while passing through the ring of Kerry. i'm very surprised to read the previous review about the woman that never spoke to them because we were made feel more than welcome on arrival by a very happy young girl. Rooms clean and spacious with a spectacular view... More

We were met in The Glen Bay Waterville, by a woman who never spoke, and made us feel like intruders. We were horrified by the dirt and stench of the reception area. Our first thought was to flee, unfortunately we didn't. The state of dilapidation of the premises was unbelievable. The room was cold, the en-suite dirty. No warmth in the... More

Passed through while doing the ring of Kerry, I had the Sirloin steak and my wife the steak sandwich. My steak was over cooked, full of fat, awful. Judging by the reviews nothing has been done to improve the sloppy food. On a prime site, this place should be a goldmine. Service was good.

Decided to stop here for food whilst doing the Ring. Really quick service, staff seemed happy and friendly and were quick to see to the special needs of other patrons such as offering one couple with a small child a high chair. We had the Irish stew and the 'special' toasted sandwich which was essentially a ham and cheese toasty.... More

A group of us had sandwiches and chips . nothing special but ok .Guinness was also alright . Waitress was friendly . Unfortunately the ladies in group said the toilet was a disaster area. Gents toilet was ok. There seemed more staff than customers which may have told us something . Beautiful location but maybe we should have gone elsewhere... More
