We had a gift voucher for an overnight stay with dinner. We were given a complimentary upgrade which was a lovely room on the ground floor with a lake view. POSITIVES 1 Got checked in earlier than 4.00 pm check in time. 2. Room clean, airy, modern and bright. Super king bed comfortable with comfortable pillows. 3. Quiet room. 4.... More

We have had the pleasure of staying at Wineport Lodge a number of times now and it never disappoints. We were blessed with amazing weather this time but even when the sun isnt shining its a beautiful and welcoming place. We were celebrating and anniversary and I love the thoughtful touches and the fact the staff congratulated us. The rooms... More

Can't believe its eight years since I was last year. Then, I gave it a four rating, this time, a definite five. Loved my stay here. Staff have improved, food is still wonderful, and of course the location will always be 5 star. Our room 'Marlborough', on the first floor *there are only two floors) had a fantastic view over... I brought my my here for a relaxing overnight. We had a fab room overlooking the lake with a balcony. Enjoyed a beautiful dinner in the restaurant with an amazing view of sunset. All in all I would highly recommend this venue for a little break away from your busy lives.

Beautiful location overlooking the lake and the staff are very friendly and the rooms very clean. But its a massive rip off at the bar , a standard pint of any beer is 6.90 euro , I live in Dublin 2 and I couldnt get over the bad value for money. Food at the restaurant wasnt great either, starters came... More

We stayed here for one night on a dinner B&B package. Admittedly we had high expectations, having read a very positive newspaper review. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who showed us to our room. A letter advised we had been up graded to a room with a ground floor "balcony". I would hate to see... More

I treated my wife to a meal in the Wineport Lodge restaurant as a birthday treat. We had heard so much about this place as the scene of the TV programme 'The Restaurant' that we wanted to check it out for ourselves. The location was idyllic and the service was excellent. Staff were very pleasant. My big issue was with... More

A stunningly beautiful hotel set on Lough Ree. The hotel makes the most of its location with 2 outdoor hot tubs with fabulous views of the lake. No pool but this is not fatal by any means. Friendly and very attentive staff make it an absolute pleasure to stay here. Highly recommended.
