The outside of the hotel has a great feel about it, bright and modern. The reception area is spacious and fresh. The reception staff are experienced and very professional. There were 3 of us, 2 in room 415 and 1 in room 485. Both rooms were very comfortable, spotless and bright. Our rooms were serviced by staff who know exactly what they are doing, everything was perfect, the supply of water each day is a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The food in the restaurant the first evening was excellent with some great tastes, the stand out dish was the ribs. The next morning breakfast was top class, there is everything you could want and more, Dylan is a top class person with a great personality. Thank you Dylan. The location of the hotel could not be better, 5 to 10 mins to some excellent restaurants, bars and views. The Sheraton and Athlone are an unbeatable combination. The people in both are a credit to the hospitality business. I cannot pass the S-Bar, lots of room, comfortable and Dylan, Olivia and Benjamin are superb people. The Bar food is some of the best and well worth a visit. Everything about our stay in this hotel was impeccable and our weekend was fabulous with great memories. Highly highly recommended. Cannot wait to come back. 15/10. Thank you to the people mentioned above and all of the Sheraton staff I have not mentioned, keep doing what you are doing.

Thank you to events team at Sheraton Athlone, you made every member of our group of 30 ladies feel special.
What a super weekend experience we had with Sheraton Hotel Athlone. From the moment we approached the dedicated staff with our idea for our annual Christmas Outing, to the departing moments. Every second was fulfilled and granted.
Special mention to Lucinda, she is an amazing and her hospitality and expertise in event management was so appreciated. She took the time to understand our group of 30 ladies, our requirements and our club's ethos. Lucinda along with her team ensured all our weekend events went seamlessly.
Group checkin was prompt, organised and the personal greeting from Lucinda and Grace was such a super special touch. It presented a homely feeling for us all. On a cold wet evening our rooms were lovely, warm and filled with lovely amenities. Breakfast was tasty, hot and with no complaints from any of our group. Room service was served promptly and with all the requested items. The service team were diligent in collecting used trays without delay.
Presentation room was set up in a very professional manner with refreshments and layout was as requested. Once again Lucinda and a member of presentation team personally ensured there were no unexpected issues during our digital event.
Lucky for us we had included the 'Gala Party' in our programme. The catering staff table by table ensured we all received our meal hot and together. Christmas Menu was really lovely with generous portion sizes and very tasty. MC on the night had great grasp on the party crowd and quickly had everyone in the Christmas mood.
Every member of staff we encountered over the weekend was extremely helpful, friendly and could not do enough to cater to our needs and requirements.
We travel as a group a number of times and I would most certainly recommend Sheraton Hotel Athlone for any event in the future. Everyone of our ladies will return at some point and I look forward to seeing you all in 2025.

Myself and my partner and our 5yr daughter stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, we stayed in a junior suite, The location is perfect in the centre of town joined on to a shopping centre, there is complimentary parking below in the shopping centre car park . Our room was large with a super king size bed and our little one had a sofa bed to sleep on, in the room there was 2 chairs beside a table also another chair beside a mirror. There was 2 wardrobes, a kettle with complimentary tea, coffee,sugar,milk. There is also a fridge in the room. In the bathroom there is a big bath and a big shower also. With complimentary shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner. We never used the WIFI so not sure how good it was. The TV had a good choice of channels to watch. At breakfast there is a good choice of hot food, eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, pancakes, porridge, and a good selection of cold stuff also, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, fruit salad, cheeses, cold meats, and pastrys. Our server was called Cody and he was very polite and helpfully all week. There is a gym which was very good and one of the best hotel gyms I have used, dumbells from 2.5kg up to 40kg, plenty of weight machines and plenty of cardio machines also. The pool was a good place to spend a bit time aswell. I would also like to thank Pawel for his help when we were checking in he was very polite and helpful. All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend this hotel.

The Sheraton in Athlone stands out as the premier hotel choice in the area. Its design, immaculate maintenance, and solid architecture create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. However, the hotel’s greatest asset is undoubtedly its staff. There’s a shared ethos among the team — a genuine commitment to placing the customer at the heart of everything they do. Just back after a two night stay here with my husband . I purposely booked a club room in the tower which was a bit more expensive as it said it would have city views and complimentary use of the club lounge providing drinks, snacks and hot food . The view from our room was extremely disappointing , we were facing directly onto a block of private apartments and our view literally feet away was of someone’s back only filled with their own clutter . Also in the pictures on the website of the rooms there was an opening window ( I have a thing about being able to open windows and get fresh air in rooms !) but there was none here . The close proximity to the next building meant we weren’t comfortable in opening the curtains at all in the night time . We made a number of visits to the club lounge but at no time found hot food there only the same tea, coffee, cold drinks and chocolates every time. Again quite disappointing as we had paid extra . In general aside from that we did like the hotel it’s very clean and spacious . So handy for shopping connected to the shopping center . Parking was also free and convenient . We ate in the bar one night and food was nice . All in all we would stay here again but wouldn’t bother paying the upgrade to a club room would just book a standard double .

The best hotel in the Midlands. From reception to a comfortable room all top drawer. Fabulous breakfast particularly noticed the silent and efficient staff moving about without one dish being banged or clattered overall an excellent experience will definitely revisit.

An excellent hotel in the heart of Athlone. The hotel provides free on-site underground parking with a lift directly to reception. The hotel is beautifully presented and immaculately clean. The staff are welcoming, efficient and excellent at their jobs. The bedroom was spacious and well presented, as is the bathroom, which included a full size bath and a separate shower. On arrival the room had individual bottles of prosecco and a small box of chocolates. Water was also provided and replaced each day . The breakfast was very impressive with the best continental selection I've had anywhere in Ireland. The hotel also has pools, spa etc.

The hotel has a great location centrally located and free parking in the joining shopping centre which was really useful. The rooms were big and spacious. The bathrooms however were extremely dark great for a relaxing bath but not for using the mirror for a shave. That’s about it for the positives. The next day on leaving we noticed our mattress was covered in untold stains and very obviously heavily stained blood and other unknown fluids. They were there a very long time. The pillows when removed from the case were covered in old make up and sweat. I was not in the mood for an argument on checkout but wasn’t asked how my stay was, just as well really as if I had of seen this before we went to bed I would have requested another room or just left. The cleaning staff must have seen the state of these beds for weeks if not months and just kept covering it with clean sheets. Not even a mattress topper. Disgusting for a hotel to ignore these duties. I have contacted the operation manager mark who was a pleasant guy since and was offered a nights stay gratis for the inconvenience but it’s been 2 weeks since I had initially sent in my complaint and I hear from Monday 2nd September they will be doing a bed audit on all rooms for cleanliness. I live 3 hrs from Athlone and although the option of another nights stay here is quite low on my list it doesn’t excuse the fact that after 3 weeks they are only now going to do an audit because of a complaint. This level of cleanliness’s should be a gold standard to any hotel to look at each time a bed is made. There is no hiding from or any excuse for this type of hygiene quality. Anyone staying here just beware that they are just adding a Band aid to the open would instead of doing this immediately and fixing a very poor hygiene problem because a customer complained they will do it next week. Why not have done this as a first priority. It’s not my job to do this. A quick tip for anyone staying. Check your beds and pillows before you get into them.

Fantastic hotel. First time staying in the Sheraton Athlone. Parking inside the shopping centre which is attached to the hotel. Free parking a bonus. Lift up to reception. Checkin easy stayed in the adult area of the hotel. It’s a bit of a walk but good exercise. Room very clean as is the hotel. Bathroom great as well. Dinner was included on both nights. The dinner on both nights were first class. Breakfast was self service varied menu plenty of choices. Easily five star standard including the staff. I cannot express the high standard set in this hotel. Bathrobes and slippers provided and water on both days. Including the five star hotels we have stayed in the Sheraton Athlone is superb. There was a wedding on but no noise whatsoever. Standard of service rooms food and value for money makes it stand out from other hotels we have stayed in over many years. No hesitation in recommending this fantastic hotel.

We stayed here for 4 days over ew Yesr Eve / New Years day etc. We had two rooms .. adjoining and both were very clean and a good size.
Disappointed with the lack of choice on the bar menu and the bar itself lacked atmosphere, its a bad design. The food was tasty just wish there was more choice as I said above. The staff in the bar were really lovely particularly a young girl with glasses, she was telling us she lives down the road with her sister and mother, she was so attentive and just really great at her job, pity I didn't get her name.
The pool area was clean, showers clean etc but the shower in our room had mold at the bottom of the door which was really disappointing as I'm healing from a lyme/mold infection so I could feel I was coughing more and my boys were coughing more but thankfully I had a binder to take which helped.
House keeping ... they never came near us after the first morning, no towels, no toilet tissue... my husband had ti request it several times for. Its rooms and fresh towels, we didbt need the room cleaned or anything changed just towels but on the last day after breakfast my 4 year old got sick right when we were getting read yto check out so I had to pop him in the shower at 11.55am, we ran over check out by 20 mi s as a result and I was called to vacate the room twice within that 20 mins or face a 30e charge, even after explaining my smally was sick and currently being showered down and to add insult to injury I left as a result of the commotion and showering a box of Olaplex in the shower area, checked out, got in the car and on the motorway realised I'd never packed it back up, rang the hotel spoke to Nick who said he would tell Housekeeping straight away but alas couple of hundred euros worth of products varnished into thin air 😭 4 phone calls, messages on instgram and promises for someone to call me back never happened, I'm raging that if you make a silly mistake and miss something there's no hope in retreaving it back from the Sheraton Hotel

The nearest we would have is a family rooms.
This has two double beds and a pullout sofa bed.
There would be scope for adding a rollaway bed in also.

There was in the room I stayed in. I assume they are in all rooms but if not you could ask for them at the reception. There were complimentary mini bottles of Prosecco and chocolate in the room on arrival
Yes the hotel has its own parking lot, just lake any shop or grocery store. The lot isn't a garage. It's also nice that there's a ramp in to the hotel so you can roll luggage instead of climbing stairs.
There are more places to choose from in the Athlone area.
