Country hotel of medium proportions (20 rooms or so) and therefore great personalized attention by very competent staff. Pleasant seating areas with open fires. And above all: excellent kitchen, the best meals we had in the west of Ireland. The hotel is in Lisdoonvarna at the edge of the Burren, a very scenic area for walking and exploring

It has been a couple of years since we last visited Sheedys and I am glad to say that standards are as high as they have ever been. The room was very spacious and bed very comfortable, dinner excellent and great variety in the breakfast. Highlights were salmon starter in photo, belly of pork, fillet of bake for breakfast , great coffee and porter in the bar and of course Martina the most fabulous host. We booked again for the end of next month

Myself and my partner stayed in Sheedy's for three nights while we visited Doolin. We had found it online through air Bnb and loved the look of the place (especially the food) I am sorry now that we did not book directly with Sheedy's themselves (NOTE TO SELF). We were contacted by Marian before even arriving which was a lovely touch. Sheedy's can only be described as perfectly perfect in every way. The house itself is spotless and inviting. The rooms are bright but cosy, filled with everything you need including fresh cold water every evening delivered my Marian herself. All rooms are complimented by a generously large, modern and clean bathroom with, may I add, the perfect lighting for a little makeup application. The beds were divine and SO comfortable, made up to perfection everyday while we were out gallivanting around Doolin. Marian was a dream, a warm and welcoming face everyday and helped us book boat tours to Isis Mor and taxi's to dinner. Her attention to detail, kind and professional manor has to be commended. As a massive foodie I was all about the breakfast!! Kevin, Marian's husband is the chef and an unreal one at that!! Every morning we were taken one by one (Due to COVID) around the table garnished in delightful homemade stewed fruits, homemade jam and cereals. My advice, get it ALL! Your are them encouraged to order a hot breakfast from a menu that is full of delicious dishes, one reading better than the next. It was very hard to decide what to get but I was never disappointed. 10/10!! I could g on for days about the great service, the great food and the unforgettable experience. Book into Sheedy's (for at least 2 nights), eat all the food and I promise you will be nothing but impressed. Thank you Marian and Frank!!

This little gem is always one to deliver. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable and staff friendly. The food is in a league of its own. All four of us had a the most amazing food experience and feel that Sheedys should be recognised for prestigious food awards. We will certainly be returning soon!
