We were looking for a place to stay right out on Howth and we came across King Sitric. It is a well known fish restaurant with a few rooms. The rooms are up to the standard of any hotel so it is not like staying in a B&B attached to a restaurant. We had a terrific view over the pier.... More

Howth has almost a resort feel to it. This property has a couple of restaurants and a few guest rooms. It's not a modern place but it's kept up quite nice. Breakfasts that come with the room are amazing. Beautiful view. Seagulls are quite noisy, but that adds to the charm. Staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Visited for a birthday dinner and had some of their signature dishes, prawns tempura starter, followed by Lobster and Sole quite an expensive meal but not really up to par. Prawn batter was not cooked sufficiently and Sole was not the freshest. Lobster was reasonable and well presented. Vegetables were mediocre at best, while service was efficient if not the... More

Wonderful little hotel. Spacious room and modern bathroom with large shower and great water pressure. We even missed breakfast and not only were we looked after, it was delivered to our room and we enjoyed a delightful Irish breakfast sitting by the window with sea views... Definitely worth the extra few bob. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Could do... More

Spent a single night here as I had received a "blue book" voucher which is a hotel listing that is more on the high end. Have to say it was a bit below what I was expecting. Don't get me wrong the place was fab but maybe my expectations were a bit higher for a room that cost close to... More

Second visit and everything was excellent. Joan and her staff are very efficient. We stayed on the top floor and the view was spectacular, we kept the windows open all night and all we could hear was the waves, really peaceful and Relaxing. In the morning Joan served us a sumptuous breakfast. Thank you King Sitric for a great time.

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday weekend. Our room was furnished beautifully with an amazing large ensuite bathroom. There was everything you needed in the room with a large selection of refreshments. The hotel bar appears to be "the place to be" in Howth and we had a lovely evening sitting outside admiring the beautiful view. Breakfast... More

Small niche hotel, with staff that are exceptional. Booked as a treat for our 15th Wedding anniversary we stayed in this small hotel in Howth. The views are exceptional overlooking Irelands Eye, Howth Harbour, and Howth Head. The food well what can I say we ate a mixture of Mussels (Gorgeous), Lobster (Fabulous), and Chicken Wings (OMG the home made... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Established in 1971, Aidan and Joan MacManus have earned an international reputation for fresh seafood in their harbour-side restaurant in the picturesque fishing village of Howth. In 1999, they extensively rebuilt their old Harbour Master's house, relocating the restaurant to the first floor with panoramic seaviews, and adding eight guest bedrooms. All the bedrooms are named after Lighthouses and have sea-views. DINING Fresh fish landed daily on Howth Pier, oysters and mussels from the west, lobster caught by our own fishermen in Balscadden Bay are among our specialities. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in our East Cafe Bar while choosing your wine from our outstanding Wine List. National Hospitality Awards Best Seafood Restaurant 2014. We are situated in the golfing heartland of North County Dublin and for sailors Howth Marina is three minutes walk. Enjoy a gentle stroll on the Pier before breakfast or a more energetic hike on the unspoilt Cliff Path and the trails of Howth Head. For business, shopping or sightseeing, Dublin City is only 25 minutes by Dart. Dublin Airport 25 minutes. ... more   less
