Stayed in the hotel in June. Accommodation ok, bed comfy but seriously needs a revamp, decor very outdated, price dear for what room had to offer. Staff very friendly and very helpful especially in the hotel's restaurant, bar. I have a special diet and brought some of my own food, they were so helpful in allowing me to use it... More

Average food, horrible dessert, extra slow service. We had to ask four times for our drink to be brought to the table, we were being served by three different waiters which was sloppy and confusing. Even with 3 waiters it was still slow, I don't think they really knew what they were doing. I ordered baileys cheesecake for dessert which... More

My Mother and I stayed in the Commodore for two nights earlier this month .The room was lovely, overlooking the sea and very spacious for two people. The beds were clean and comfortable as was the room .The only thing it lacked was a few pictures to brighten the walls up ! The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming although the bar... More

Checked in for one night and that was enough. Curtains wouldn't close fully, carpet was frayed and lifting in places, wooden toilet seat was coming apart and the shower was awful. You had to literally stand in the bath with your back against the wall to get any water to wash. No point in complaining as that was the only... More

Cobh is a spectacular small Irish town seeped in Maritime history, Titanic and the Lusitania being the main attraction. We have sailed into Cobh several times but this was the first time we had stayed over in a hotel and I was delighted that we were staying in the Commodore. It looked beautiful, an imposing, well painted, building mentioned as... More

Hi Frank, Thank you for taking the time to speak to me on the phone recently. I understand that the main issue you had was the location of the room and this was compounded by the fact that you were not as mobile as you would have liked. Also as the hotel was full the reception staff were limited with... More

Had a one night stay in this hotel. Room my parents were given was totally unacceptable for paying guests. We asked at reception to change room but were told there was none available. Hotel should not have taken our booking if this was all on offer. Myself and my daughters had a much bigger brighter room. Receptionist was very off... More

I visited Cobh years ago and wanted to bring my daughter here as I knew she would love this city as much as I. We both love old architecture, history and the ambience of both. Unfortunately this grand old girl has fallen into hands that failed to preserve the antiquity while keeping up with the modern market. Parking is limited.... More

It's a hotel in a good location to visit the Cobh tourist attractions (it's in the centre, on the front). The titanic museum is well worth it by the way. Wasn't over enamoured with the hotel overall, but it does what it says on the tin, it was adequate!
