What an amazing hotel. Every member of staff was a joy to deal with and couldn’t do any more for us. Special mention must go to both members of staff at reception when we arrived (Saturday 19th). There was a mix up with our booking but they couldn’t have been any more helpful in finding a resolution. We had food in both the bar and the restaurant and couldn’t recommend them any higher!
On entering the Maritime Hotel we were greeted by the receptionist (Joanna) and straight away the banter began, we reckoned we were in for a good mini-break. We were not to be disappointed, over the next four days we were very well looked after, and not just by the reception staff, but the bar staff, the waiters and waitresses, the leisure staff, spa staff and of course the housekeeping staff. These are not easy times to operate in the hospitality sector, but at no time did we feel our safety compromised. The level of hygiene, professionalism and adherence to protocols was impressive. Good staff are hard to come by, the Maritime Hotel have plenty of good staff. I can happy to recommend to anyone to give this hotel strong consideration when planning your next visit to west Cork.
From the minute we arrived at the reception and were greeted by a manager to the minute we left i couldnt find one fault, the food in the restauraunt was beautiful only fault i couldnt finish my dessert because i was so full 😉 the cocktails that we were served were stunning and no shortage either, the rooms were spotless, this was my first time staying here and i will most definately be back, the staff are a credit to the hotel
We decided to get out of Cork City for a night and go somewhere with a bit of a Christmas buzz, and having stayed at the Maritime twice before, we knew it'd be a good bet. Bantry is the perfect town to be in on a cold and wet winters evening, it's quaint, and the decorations and warm welcome in the Maritime made it a lovely place to be as the rain poured outside (and our room overlooked Bantry Bay!). As always the staff were hugely hospitable and welcoming (it's always nice to be called by my first name at reception!), and we have to give an extremely special shout out to James in the bar. We had two lunches and a dinner there (does he ever go home!!), and he was just the friendliest and most accommodating person. He made sure we had a table we liked each time, he made great recommendations on the specials (although slow cooked lamb isn't a hard sell!) and he introduced me to a lovely ale from the West Cork Brewing company. All in all a great hotel in a great town. We went up to Seskin this morning, only a 5 minute drive from the hotel, and with a view that you wouldn't get anywhere else in Ireland. See you again soon and Happy Christmas to the staff!…
Excellent hotel with excellent professional staff. Would highly recommend staying here. Stayed in top floor suite overlooking bantry Bay. Excellent value as well for this room. Could not fault the room or the excellent service we received from reception to bar and restaurant and pool area.
