Communication with Sophie while booking was excellent, as the reception. Rooms are old, but comfortable; sound insulation is very bad, though. As a guest you can move freely in the castle itself, which is not big, but the blue/golden room (a bit hidden in the basenent) is worth the visit alone. Breakfast was a delight!

We stayed only one night in this wonderful B&B, unfortunately. Bantry House is a wonderful historic home and has half a dozen or so B&B rooms in one wing. The rooms are spacious and have a separate bathroom with bath and shower and toilet. We had a fantastic view over the garden from our room. The bed was comfy and... More

A small B&B in a wing of a crumbling manor house, this is a wonderful place to stay and more - an experience. This house is elegant and a bit decayed. There is a lot of work going on to keep it in tact and restore. It is open to the public and as a B&B guest you get free... More

We had the best experience staying at the Bantry House and hope to do so again in the future. As a guest we had access to parts of the house before the public or after-hours which was a real treat. Drinking gin and tonics, quietly reading by the fireplace in the evening was a dream. In the morning we have... More

The Bantry House is one of the most unique experiences we've ever had. I truly recommend a night here to anyone touring this part of Ireland. You will feel like royalty in this massive house in the evening, when all the day visitors are gone. You can enjoy the honor bar, the massive fireplaces, and the library almost all to... More

We did the public house tour which was great, entertaining and informative. Then they closed the house and shut the gates and we had the grounds to ourselves. The six B&B rooms had the run of one wing, tastefully renovated bedrooms and left alone to enjoy the majestic library and the billiards room. Then next morning a marvellous white linen... More

As a traveler, people always ask you what or where you liked the best. There are many awesome places in the world. For me, I have a special place in my heart for the Bantry House. If I could, I would stay there forever. I wouldn't even call it a B&B, I think it is beyond that. It is an... More

The B&B is really a part of the Manor House Museum. There are 6 rooms and the rate includes a delicious breakfast. After 5 the museum closes and the overnighters have the access to the library part of the museum. The library is a huge room with two fireplaces, a baby grand piano and comfortable furniture overlooking the garden. It's... More
