We arrived late at the West Cork Hotel after a problem with another lodging place. We were offered a room in the new wing of the hotel; some previous comments referred to the dated nature of the rooms but ours was so new that one complaint was that it smelled like a carpet showroom, being so recently opened. The other... More

I just returned from two weeks in Ireland. This was my second three-day stay at the West Cork Hotel in two years. The food is excellent, the staff morale is great. Tim is attentive and caring and it shows. Renovations are continuing and not at all disruptive. I have zero complaints about the two rooms, neither-yet-renovated but completely fine, that... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Skibbereen and the surrounding area. The hotel is centrally located so very convenient for Skibbereen itself (including the shops, restaurant's, cafes etc) and other areas of interest such as Lough Hyne, Skibbereen Heritage Centre (opposite the hotel) etc. Our designated hotel room was in all honesty very dated, with... I have stayed here many times over the years and would recommend this hotel for touring west Cork, do ask for a superior room, it is well worth it, with a lovely, very comfortable bedroom and a modern wash room. The hotel is located only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre, and the staff friendly and helpful,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in 4 rooms and enjoyed the entire experience. The girls at the reception were cordial and lively with smiles and charm. They were efficient and had us all ready without any delay. The building is old but has been upgraded and the lobby is bustling and comfortable. The rooms were clean, neat and well appointed....
