We were made most welcome by the lovely Mary Anne. She greeted us with her delicious rhubarb pie (and cream). And the scones... fantastic. Our room and ensuite were spotlessly clean. There is a lovely sitting room for guests, and the breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again. Thankyou Mary Anne. Lorraine and David. Perth, Australia.

This June I traveled to Ireland with my family and while I enjoyed our stays in various B & Bs throughout the country, staying at Island Heights was by far the best experience we had. From the moment we arrived Mary Anne and Éammon made us feel at home. The warmth and hospitality that we encountered was the highlight of... More

I stayed with Mary Anne and Éammon for a number of weeks whilst on work placement. As a young college student, I was a bit apprehensive about staying away from home for so long, but I need not have worried! Mary Anne and Éammon greeted me so warmly every week with tea, scones and a chat. The rooms I stayed... More

Our stay at Island Heights was fantastic, we couldn't recommend it more. The home is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Upon walking in, you are offered fresh tea or coffee and freshly baked pastries. The two rooms we booked were clean and modern, with private bathrooms. Breakfast in the morning is included and is quite a spread- you will not leave... More

From the offset I felt welcomed and happy to be at Island Heights. As soon as I arrived I was offered tea/coffee and homemade cakes in the kitchen, which was cosy and homely. Mary Anne and Éamonn chatted with me, as if I were an old friend. I was shown to my room, which was as warm and friendly as... More

Everything about this bnb is a positive. From the welcoming cup of tea and the very best scones i have ever tasted to the graciousness of the host. I would certainly recommend this to all, whether it be a family or a couple.

We had the most wonderful time here. Maryanne is a awesome host and a great baker and cook. The breads and scones that she puts out in the living room are delish. the room was also top notch. She makes you feel right at home. The location is 1/2 hour to 45 mins from almost everything in county Kerry. We... More

This is a really comfortable and welcoming B and B in Castleisland in Kerry. The position is very good for touring the area, which is absolutely stunning. We were welcomed by Mary Ann with rhubarb pie and there's cake, biscuits and drinks to help yourself to in the cosy sitting room. The rooms and beds are comfortable. The breakfast with... More

Mary Anne provided the best breakfast that we had in Ireland. We highly recommend the "pancakes" , which were actually fruit topped crepes. Mary Anne is warm, friendly and welcoming. The home was one of the prettiest places that we stayed in. It is only a 5 minute walk to town. Be advised that restaurants close early so we suggest... More
