Lovely old fashioned property in the center of town. We were fortunate to get a family room with plenty of space on the 3rd floor. The room was quiet, spacious and clean with plenty of room to spread out. We had a room separator with pocket doors and two separate tvs. Wifi was great. No disruption in service. Plenty of... More

Parking is an issue, but we were aware of this fact and that on street parking is free from 6 PM until 1130 Am. Reception was a little off hand, but otherwise a very pleasant experience. Room excellent, but stairs and hallways a bit tired. Very good breakfast and pleasant reception / reading area with papers provided.

Arrived to a lovely greeting from Receptionist. Even though on a DBB package offered same A La Carte menu which was lovely. Food excellent and wine list very reasonable. Accommodation although dated is a credit to the housekeeping team for cleanliness. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed two nights at the Foyles Hotel. The rooms are a bit quirky but charming with good beds and lighting, for the most part. The breakfast, adding fresh fish and warm croissants to the usual Full Irish, was as good as any on our 10 day trip. Dinner also went beyond the standards. The lamb, salmon and vegetarian pie-like... Visited cliften for our annual fishing trip with three friends. Hotel booked us in with no reservations, lovely rooms, very clean and comfortable. The manager was very accommodating and arranged for the chef to cook our fish and we had it served in the dining room. Unbelievably delicious,a genuine meal to remember. There was live music in the beer garden with a... More

Stayed here for only one night, in room 109 on the first (American 2nd) floor. Small double room. Looked out onto a dirty back alley. There was a door leading out of the bathroom to the fire escape but I wouldn't use it because it was nasty out there. Bathroom was in poor shape, sink looked like it was about... More

The entré could have been friendlier to start with! The hotel has sure seen better days. It's clearly visible there's no money for bringing things up to date. The hallways are damp and smelly and so are the rooms. Very soberly equipped. One is not convinced that things are as clean as one would expect of a hotel that charges... More

Stayed for the one night in this comfy, charming hotel. You can easily imagine it in Victorian times and how it appeals to our transatlantic cousins. Like most greet places... It's the people who make it..... They were warm and welcoming. The lovely receptionist was even prepared to battle a traffic warden to protect my parking space. That's dedication!!! Finished... Charming, old fashioned hotel located in a wonderful town in the Conemmara region. Staff was accommodating, rooms were pleasant and clean. Breakfast was well cooked and served very nicely. Parking was easy on the street. Clifden is a very nice town to stay in while exploring this region. Many restaurants and shops, all walkable. I would recommend this hotel.
