Paddy and Julia Foyle have created a fabulous place to stay at in Clifden. We stayed in the Napoleon Room which was very spacious with separate sitting area which had 3 way window and door views of the tidal estuary. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and fascinating with all the memorablia they have collected over the years and the hospitality... More

The Quay House overlooks the harbour and is found slightly away from the town centre. Julia and Patrick are excellent hosts and do everything they can to make your stay a memorable one. The town itself is very busy in season but has lots to offer in terms of Irish hospitality. As the coast of Co Galway is among the... More

Our high expectations were surpassed. The moment we walked in the front door, we knew this would be a special stay ... and it was. Julia and Paddy welcomed us like friends and made us feel at home in their magnificently decorated house full of antiques and art. We were offered a choice of rooms at the top of the... More

This place is really fun. It feels like you are stepping back in time. They have many antiques all over and a bit quirky but fun. The breakfast was one of the best in Ireland we had and the hosts extremely friendly and accommodating.

The most special place. Julie and Paddy made us feel most welcome. The rooms are delightful and very comfortable. I am somewhat a bed linen "snob" and was extremely satisfied with the top quality linens. The food at breakfast was wonderful with a great selection. Their son Toby is an excellent chef. Wish we had stayed longer than just two... More

the rooms were soooo delightfully decorated. The hosts were so welcoming. The breakfast was amazing - everything so fresh and so much variety. The location was perfect, close enough to walk to town and far enough away to be peaceful and quiet.

Fantastic 1 night stay on our way around Ireland. We enjoyed the room decorated in all sorts of animal prints and horns....Very comfy and fun. Julia couldn't have been nicer and her sons cooking, the BEST. A gorgeous setting as well.

My cousin and I recently had the pleasure of a two night stay at Quay House. We received a warm welcome from Julia, Paddy and their lovely little dogs Banjo and Blossom. Our room was spacious (more like a suite) and overlooked the beautiful Clifden Harbour. The house itself is full of interesting artifacts, giving it a museum-like quality. There... More

This charming house is a gem set in a wonderful town in Connemara. The warm welcome we got and home cooked breakfast was amazing. The rooms are more like hotel rooms from an old Manor House. The decor u won't find anywhere. The Pye family are wonderful hosts . Hope to visit again.
