1. This is NOT the Hilton, nor is it an average B&B, this is a unique EXPERIENCE. Cullintra House is the ancestral home of artist Patricia Cantlon. You will be a guest in her home and every inch of it is infused with her intriguing personality. It’s like visiting an eccentric but elegant Irish relative and stepping into her lifestyle... More

There is certainly a warmth and a charm about Cullintra House that makes a visit here very unique. Unfortunately we could not avail of one of the best rooms (of which there are plenty) because we had our dog with us. But we were grateful to have found a place that accepts dogs at all so that is a major... More

My original accommodation in Kilkenny fell through and I was struggling to find another place on short notice for two couples for one night. Patricia's website said minimum two night stay but when I called and explained she said she was happy to take us for one night which I appreciated. I confirmed the cost which is on her website... We traveled to Ireland and stayed at Cullintra House a long time ago - 1998! But after all this time, I still check the web site now and again just to remember how wonderful it was. We stayed in the barn, with the spiral staircase to the sleeping quarters. It was lovely! We loved all of Patricia's cats, and in... More

Cullintra House is wonderfully located - it feels so remote yet is just a few miles from the nearest town. At night, the area is pitch black away from any street lamps. The house itself is elegant and relaxing in true Irish style. Patricia Cantlon was great fun! She was welcoming from the word go and over dinner, called us... More

This is not a place for a Winter visit as it is a damp old house and cold, wet weather only adds to this discomfort. the food at night was very good but you had to wait a long time for it to arrive. Breakfast was very very late. We met some very nice people here and had fun with... More

We, a party of three, stayed at Cullintra Country House for three days over Christmas 2015. This was a last minute booking, and a significant consideration was to find a place which would take a dog, and our dog did very well. Previous reviews on Tripadvisor suggested that this place might be a bit different, and in this they were... More

Hello, If you look at any guesthouse in the world, there are always positive and negative reviews and most of my guests love Cullintra House. Most people enjoy their stay but there are some people that are not suited to Cullintra House so I am never going to please every visitor. As a Christian, I observe Christmas and as a... More

+++ Wonderful location and the food is remarkable --- Quite expensive for the experience and you have to accomodate with Patricia's schedule ! Good place if you're open minded, will be a disappointing experience if you're not !

Just back from a weekend at Cullintra House. We stayed in the Gallery room. Really nice room & lovely atmosphere. The room could do with a bit of a deep spring cleaning. The shower has no pressure & is nothing more than a dribble. The lady of the house is Particia Cantlon & she's wonderful. A great host, dinner was... More
