Ok, this is a first for me. I am not a big camper but I visited Ireland with my wife and two kids. We were travelling around and booked two camp sites. The first, not Adare was not clean, was not particularly friendly however the kids loved it. They found friends and they were gone exploring and having fun for most of the evening. In contrast, Adare was clean, friendly and exactly what you would want in a campsite if it wasn't for the numerous camper vans and dogs on site. There were zero children for my kids to play with and yapping dogs till late. It wasn't something I expected and although I liked the Adare shower facilities and the overall cleanliness of the place I cannot recommend it to families.

Arrived today not impressed with customer service. No shop to speak of. Site is kept well as in grass cut and things but the toilet block is not very clean one gents shower broken hairdryer broken no heating in shower block. owner went in to clean but all he did was push the water around. Will not come back here. No wonder he is isn't getting listed with camping and caravan club

After a long journey from Co. Kerry we decided to stop off near Adare. I rang the guy on the way up the road and he said come ahead no problem. Quite area in the heart of the countryside. Good size campsite hardstand and grass. Also has hook up, a campers room, toilets and shower blocks and hair dryer. Overall a good nights stay. Only thing that put me off was spiders and cobwebs in the ladies shower block!

Would not recommend. We were staying there over the bank holiday weekend with friends and kids hoping to have a nice time together unfortunately at about 6pm the owner came to us asking to turn the music down because in his opinion it was too loud which wasn't true as the music was played from the car just loud enough so we could make a normal conversation but we did as were told to not cause any trouble. The second time the owner came to us about 11pm ordered us to SHUT THE KIDS UP again the kids weren't loud as there was 3 babys sleeping in other tents so we were trying to keep them quiet anyway so they would not wake up the baby's the older ones were inside the tent watching the cartoons and laugh from time to time like any other kids do. We went there to spend nice time with our friends and families instead we were stressed out about keeping everyone quiet. I'll not recommend that campsite to the people with the kids who are looking the spend nice time. May be good for someone who going to the campsite to go to bed at 10pm.
