We had a perfect stay here while in Kinsale, which turned out to be our favorite city on this trip to Ireland. The rooms were clean and large, the breakfasts were awesome. The only negative was that we could not get wi-fi without leaving our room and going downstairs into a public area. Mary, the receptionist and Kinsdale Concierge Extraordinaire,... More

We stayed for the KINSALE Jazz weekend, and from the moment we checked in until checking out we were made so welcome. The staff could not do enough for us, Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice,, and all served up with a smile. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, despite overlooking the street. We will definitely be... More

We stayed here with some friends for the Kinsale Jazz festival at the end of October. The hotel was very well located, close to all the bars and restaurants for the jazz events, but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise. Wifi was available in the very comfortable lounge. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast menu... More

Friar's Lodge is a modern building in the medieval section of Kinsale. It's on a small street and should have been easy to find but wasn't - we had never been to Kinsale before and the Rick Steves maps are not the best. Plenty of off-street parking, which is a real plus in Kinsale. It is a short downhill walk... More

I had a very nice stay at the Friars Lodge! Great location, easy walk to all the shops and restaurants in Kinsale, and the Farmers Market and the harbor. My room was nice and large, bathroom fixtures were all very new, and everything was very clean. The breakfast was very good, normal juice, fruit, yogurt, cereal buffet, plus a good... More

We stayed for 3 nights for the fabulous Kinsale food festival which was outstandingly good! Location is brilliant just 2 mins walk from town centre. Room was large and adequate, bathroom was very tired and in need of some tlc, towels were like cardboard. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. The need for wifi became very annoying as it... The Friar's Lodge is a great find. A 4 star guest house located only 5 minutes from Kinsale Harbour is the perfect place to stay. The staff are friendly, the rooms are huge and spotless and there is free parking. Breakfast is included and is excellent. Made to order full irish was great. Some surprises on the breakfast such as... More
