Stayed here 2 nights on a country-wide trip. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It was a walk to get to, though, as large buses can't access the street and the hotel is up a hill.

We really enjoyed stayung at the Friar's Lodge in Kinsale for the comfortable ambiance, great location and homey feel. Both clean and sizeable, our room was more than suitable for our basic needs while traveling around Ireland. The best part is that it's only a hop, skip and a jump away from the best pubs and restaurants the city has... More

I'm baffled why this place got such good reviews. I will say the staff was fantastic - helpful and kind, but the room was filthy. I sat down and rested my arm on the desk and got actual goo on my hand - ick. There was goo on the night stand, too. At first I thought maybe they had missed... More

Friar's Lodge is a well located B&B with easy access to Kindle Town and great parking. Quiet, traditional neighborhood and great Irish breakfasts. There are interesting and helpful reading materials available - we appreciated the publications of local artists of all ages.

Friar's Lodge was much better than I had anticipated. Maureen was fantastic with me as I was booking a large group of 21 people for a Hen/Stag, some couples some single. She really was a star, although she was not there to greet us, it was ok as Mary was there and she was absolutely lovely, very good to us... More

We were booked here as part of a tour. The hotel is a few blocks from downtown and had a quick checkin process. It was nice to have a carafe of Porto available for a quick nip. Once in the room, a triple, we found it had lots of space, but the furnishings were quite dated. Of note, we could... More

We had a wonderful stay at Friar's Lodge. It was a perfect base for exploring Kinsale and all its delights. We had a bit of trouble finding Friar's Lodge in the winding streets of Kinsale, but a couple of local people sent us in the right direction. Friar's Lodge is very comfortable and well located. Our room was quite cozy,... More

We have just stayed at the Friars lodge in Kinsale and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed and given great advice by the owner. The room was huge and very clean. The breakfast set us up for our long journey North.
