I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Gull House. Located in the center of the quaint town of Kinsale, the proprietor, Mary O'Neil offers a hearty breakfast before you venture out on your sightseeing adventure.

Stayed in September 2016 - not maintained at all - light bulbs out - thin, ripped bath towels - no soap - basic low level accommodation, not three stars as told. Mary (inn keeper) also owns the pub at bottom of hill. She is more interested in the pub than her B&B. Everyone seems to "love" Mary but I think... More

Large full Irish breakfast made by Mary who also runs the Tap Tavern down the road. Perched on a hill, you need to find parking on the road but we had no problem. This place is quite old but as it is historic it was just fine. Rooms not real large but we felt it was a good value and... More

I recognize this B & B is not for everyone, but for those wanting a vintage Irish experience, it is a quiet, comfortable place to stay. Mary O'Neal is the proprietress and as an earlier review states she is like your Irish Granny. The house sits right next door to Desmond Castle. I could stick my hand out the window... More

Mary is the perfect host ,a warm welcome awaits you . The rooms are very clean , beds really comfortable , breakfast excellent , scrambled egg plentiful ! It is located two minutes from town . We parked just around the corner on the street , no problem . We went with two teenage daughters , and all had a... More

Mary was a lovely host, plenty of chat. Facilities were a bit dated, and reminds me of staying in a typical irish grandmothers house, which is no bad thing! No wifi, and basic breakfast, but can't complain. A nice place to lay your head for the evening. Close to bars, restaurants and the ocean front.

This B & B is very convenient to town; is clean; no parking. There is no wifi, although readily available in many places in town. Do not expect the traditional B & B breakfast - no cereal, no yogurt, no brown bread - scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, rashers, tomato half. Next time would look elsewhere.

Mary, our host was a lovely lady but the accommodation was poor. There was no wifi, no tea/coffee making facilities and no parking. The room was adequate but the general feel of the place was tired with no extras eg tissues. Breakfast was pleasant with juice, tea and cooked breakfast of scambled egg, sausage, bacon and half a tomato but... More

The Gull House is located in a perfect location, all of Kinsale's attractions are just steps from the door. Staying with Mary is just like visiting your Grandmothers house, Mary greets you with a warm smile, feeds you a hearty breakfast and assures that your stay is enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Gull House. Mary was helpful and gave us a warm greeting. The location was perfect for walking into town every night for dinner. It is a nice quiet homey place to stay. We really enjoyed the Ghost tour which starts out of her bar the Tap Tavern, great fun! We highly recommend... More
