Well pleased with the accommodation here, Mary the lady in charge was extremely pleasant and pulled out all the stops to make our stay a memorable occasion, lovely room and a hearty breakfast, thanks for the flowers Denis and Pam.

Beautiful town! The Anchorage is a lovely B&B with a bit of a stair climb, so don't bring too much luggage! The people who greeted us were very warm and welcoming and gave us great information on what was interesting to see and do in Kinsale. Breakfast was included (always welcome!) and it was very good. The rooms were very... More

This B&B is located within a couple of minutes walk to the center of Kinsale. There's a free parking available although the parking spots are not B&B exclusive. We got the family room with 1 queen and 2 single bed. It is a bit stuffed. The bathroom is spacious. Overall, the room was ok but needed some airing when we... More

We were in Kinsale for a weekend. We didn't have any reservation and so we were looking for a nice place to stay. We decided to stay in The Anchorage for two nights and that was the best choice. On arriving we were welcomed by the hosts Ann & Brian and from the beginning we felt as if it was... More

Stayed one night at the Anchorage. Our room was at the top of the hill so we had to carry our suitcases up 60 steps!! Room smelt damp and lighting was poor. Rooms a little tired looking. We could hear the water system outside most of the night. Breakfast was adequate and service good as were the ladies at the... More

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the ladies managing the property were extremely friendly and nice. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very well presented with a choice of Irish or continental options. This location is perfect for walking to pubs and restauants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location;however, the steps up to the B... More

Had a great stay here, Brian is a very welcoming host, rooms are very nice with great space. The breakfast was excellent and the location is perfect 1 minute walk to the town centre. I would strongly recommend the anchorage for a weekend stay.

Spent an overnight at this b&b! Our room located up two flights of stairs. Very quiet & spotlessly clean. Breakfast great choice & lovely homely/family feel to it!! Ideal for young family as not overly expensive.Would choose to stay here again if visiting kinsale.

When I entered the room, it was lovely, nice and spacious except the bathroom that you couldn't swing a cat in, found a fake eyelash on the dresser beside my bed :o :o I found it was hard to read books in, the lighting wasn't the best in the night. The breakfast was only ok, the lady was mixing up... More

Stayed here before but this time it was well below average and I wouldn't be enticed back here. The breakfast is served in the b & b which is in a different b & b (there is two b & b's, this one and the rockview and they are situated near each other) but you have to go to rockview... More

“The owners have two places , The Anchorage and Rockmount , Rockmount has a lot of steps so if you have a walking disabilty you should probably ask for a room in The Anchorage .”

“If you don't mind a hike, stay where the view is amazing. We just took what we needed out of the car each day and left the rest in the parking lot. This B&B is really close to all Kinsale has to offer and is really reasonable. They do not take credit cards, but there is an ATM about two blocks away. Loved this place!”
