Good central location but the rooms were quite small and in need of up dating, door was difficult to lock and on one occasion when we returned the room hadn't been locked by the cleaner. Breakfast was ok but often slow to arrive with no choice of brown toast and no sauces readily available. Staff were very friendly and offered... More

The food wasn't great but the staff were friendly. The food was a little slow to come out. The location is very central to the town of Kinsale. There is a good buzz around the pub. Would recommend to drink in, go elsewhere for food!

What a find. Arrived early but room was ready. The room was lovely, clean and tidy. Ours had a view over the little market place outside. The location is great right in the middle of the village. Parking is not to far away..if your lucky you might find a space on the street outside. The food is amazing. Very tasty and... More

My mother and I travelled to Ireland for the first time in June 2016. I had booked with another accommodation weeks in advance only to have this fall through days before we were to arrive. I was referred to Jim Edwards and thankfully he had a twin, en suite room available. My mother and I were very pleased with the... More

Have been several times before. Food excellent. Had Lemon Sole. So fresh. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. All our party of 4 loved the food. One had smoked chicken salad one had fish and chips and another had burger. All delicious.

12 of stayed at Jim Edwards for a long weekend in April, the welcome was warm and despite arriving at 11.30 am all our rooms were ready for us. The rooms were of a good size and they were spotless! The bed was comfy and we had a great night sleep. The breakfast was really good, with a good selection... More

Visited Jim Edwards before and it was excellent. Visited again recently and we were very disappointed. Booked in advance, but table not ready when we arrived though it wasn't occupied. We were asked to wait in the bar and we would be called. We met our friends who were also asked to wait there. After about 20 minutes waiting we... More
