Most people seem to be very happy with The Old Bank House. We seem to have a different view. It is fine for what it is, but it is not really a four star. Some of the bathrooms are large and decorated in marble which is what we would expect at a a nice B&B. Other rooms have tiny bathrooms.... More

Stayed here with my wife for a few nights. This is a lovely place to stay. The check in was very informative and quick. Our room was very clean and looked lovely and bright. Even though our room was facing the main street you could not hear the traffic and got a full nights sleep each night. There was a... More

It was hard for us to figure out where to stay in Kinsale. You won't go wrong here, nice room and warm staff. Fabulous breakfast. And great location. Parking is a challenge with th lot about 3 blocks away( drop luggage off first).

Very good restaurant comfortable rooms very good breakfast. Not very good Wi-Fi. Would have given this hotel five stars except for the Wi-Fi, Nice bakery downstairs if you miss breakfast you could have a nice lunch downstairs very good homemade pastries and sandwiches.

Myself and my husband booked in for one night we stayed in room 12 which was right next to the lift (which unfortunately if your a light sleeper is not the best location because all lifts are noisey). It was clean with a lovely breakfast however I felt it was well overpriced for the size of the room that it was... You'll see in other reviews that some people love it and others are put off. So what is it? It's not really a hotel. It's an old house with rooms furnished in early "flea market". Our room behind the flags was large and had 12 foot ceilings with a giant window looking right over the street. The bathroom was very... More

We stayed here for two nights of the June Bank Holiday weekend. It was a last minute booking and we didn't realise it was a Bank Holiday weekend. At 200 euro a night it was considerably above our usual budget but were happy to book as we had been promised luxury. The room was small and at the back of... More

I stayed here a few nights ago and was very happy with the room! We stayed in room 10 and the decor was lovely. With a great view over the town and part of the bay. We slept with the window open and although we got disturbed a few times this is to be expected from such a vibrant town.... More

Decided to return to The Old Bank House after not being there since last year and wanted to see was it as good as last time.! It was better ! Clearly from the minute we entered we could see that a lot of money has been spent in upgrading the entrance hallway and stairwell . Luxury new carpets on the... More

I was here for coffee and cake last year and had a lovely experience; had been looking forward to going back and having some food. First of all, our waitress was not very nice; it seemed that wat ever we asked for was an inconvenience.. Not friendly at all. I did notice that there were other staff members who seemed... More
