Lovely and modern hotel in a fabulous location with great views and within easy walking distance to the town centre where there are loads of lovely shops and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay this week and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Kinsale.

This is a pictureque little town and this hotel is in the perfect spot , a short walk to all the restaurants and shops and the view from our window was delightful. The view from our window overlooked the grassed area at the front , where they had an old fashioned truck which served as a small bar right beside the... We stayed in this hotel a few years ago and were very pleasantly surprised by the changes we experienced. The room we stayed in was spacious, modern and had a good sized bathroom. The reception staff could not have been more helpful with suggestions for restaurants etc. The breakfast provided a good range of food and the cooked breakfast was... More

Kinsale may have been the favorite town we visted and Actons' harborside location provides ready walking access to the town. The facade of the hotel looks unchanged since it was built in the '40s. The common areas are nicely done. Staff is helpful and friendly. Hallways and rooms feel a bit dated, but are clean and comfortable. (Our rooms may... More

This is a modern hotel at the docks in Kinsale. Just three or so blocks from downtown. The hotel staff were very nice, but can't get lunch before noon in Kinsale! Card Entry. Wi Fi is good in rooms. Food was good. Modified buffet with menu for main breakfast serving. We were there during the regatta - got to have... More

The staff really make this wonderful hotel experience - especially the receptionists, who are always on hand for useful information and a friendly smile. The food is top class and the beds are simply to die for - the eggs benedict in particular. Acton's has full leisure facilities; including a gym, 15m pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, sauna and steam room.... We were disappointed with our visit to this hotel last Sunday afternoon for a number of reasons, but I will mention just two. Firstly one of us ordered a " Hendrix" gin which costs circa €10 & is supposed to be served in a LARGE glass with crushed ice & cucumber, this was requested but bar person had no idea &... More

I recently stayed at Actons having found it through an accommodation search engine. Wasn't sure what to expect, but on arrival our room was ready with amazing views over the harbour. Check-in was fast and easy even though we arrived at a very busy point in time. The room was spotless, very comfortable and lovely ensuite and room amenities. We... More

We stayed at Actons in early August, peak of season. We loved how it was easy to walk to the town of Kinsale, along the harbor. Great restaurants are all nearby, such as The Steakhouse for beef and Dino's for Fish and Chips. The hotel itself is very well kept, the rooms clean, and the staff attentive. Our room overlooked...
