Absolutely spectacular golf course that has spectacular views from every hole. It is quite different from traditional Irish courses we played during our week. The fairways are generous and greens are large but fair primarily because when the wind blows it is a monster!

We had a wonderful stay here, stayed in the light house room, it was a stunning suite. Staff were so helpful and a credit to the club. Stunning location, truly takes your breath away. The golf is a wonderful experience whether walking or playing it may be one of the top courses in the world.

Drove along here as part of the wild Atlantic way route from kinsale. Definitely worth a drive on a nice bright day. Views and scenery breathtaking. Lots of nice places to eat and chill and the beaches, water and coastline spectacular. Well signed and roads good.

My husband and myself spent a few days recently in Kinsale and we took a drive out to see the area around the Old Head of Kinsale. On the clear day it is absolutely magnificent. The only thing that worried me a little is that there are no warnings about the sheer cliff drops, and if you arrive with children,... More

I was here on Saturday 04/06/2016 For one adult it costs €4 You could easily spend a few hours here relaxing if the weather is good which it was when I was here. There's a cafe there, ice cream shop too and toilets.

Be prepared for WIND when visiting the Old Head of Kinsale! We visited on a spectacularly beautiful and extremely windy day. The coast line is rugged and the cliffs steep. Unfortunately, the average visitor must stop at the gates to the golf course so we were unable to visit the historic Old Head Lighthouse. We climbed amongst the stone tower... More

My partner and I were lucky enough to spend to spend three perfect night and four glorious dos at the Old Head Hotel, Kinsale. The golf course is a delight to play. It is wonderfully kept, super fairways and true greens. Every morning the green staff put the course back to a pristine condition. We were fortunate enough to have... More

Beautiful view. Tower ruins, lighthouse. Not much to do here but worth seeing if nearby. Close to beach and Kinsale. Could be a nice place to bring a packed lunch and go for a hike along the coast. Bring a jacket!

A fabulous place, with terrific views if you ignore the ubiquitous golf course. Well worth the effort to go and see. As a starting point for a tour of the Wild Atlantic Way, it is a great introduction to Ireland with it's beautiful scenery, and rugged Atlantic coastline.
