Staff not very welcoming or friendly. No polite conversation made by staff at breakfast or leaving when payment was made. Clean and good location but staff let it down. We wouldn't stay here again. Overall nice time had in Clonakilty.

We are sorry you didn't enjoy polite conversation at the B & B. It is hard to strike a balance between intruding on our customers privacy and chatting with holiday makers. Over the years B&B culture has changed and many of our guests prefer to angage with each other. We will take your comments on board. More

Stopped in to An Sugan pub at 5pm on a Monday for a pitstop on the way to Baltimore. Just wanted something small so took the soup of the day (a beautiful home made roasted vegetable soup) and smoked salmon with brown bread, all very lovely. Quick, polite service and they serve food all day. Great stuff and excellent value.

Food was Good and fresh, a little $$, wine selection was only ok and this is where they could do better. Staff were nice, young and so not as polished as the price but I could not fault them. We had sea food platters and desserts, all was really fresh

My partner and I were in Clonakilty for the South of Ireland Band competition in early July. We went into An Sugan bar hoping to watch the European game between Wales & Belgium and have something to eat. We were met by a member of staff who was not too friendly, when we asked if they were showing the game,... More

Stayed at An Sugan for the night and ate in the bar. Lovely place cosy bar with a good choice of menu. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The food was to a good standard and served efficiently. The breakfast was one of the best in the guesthouse.

We spent one night at An Sugan, and for the price, it was perfect. The room was small, but it was clean and comfortable. Even better than the room, was the amazing breakfast included in the booking. It was delicious, and honestly made us wish we stayed another night just to have it again! The location of the B&B was... More

Our room was fine. However in our bathroom (which was on the inside so no window) the light above the sink was not working so the shaver point was not working too. The light to the bathroom took ages to come on, in fact when I was in the shower my husband accidentally turned off the light so I was... More

I had lunch here with my two kids on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Myself and my 11 year old had traditional fish and chips, fish was really fresh and beautifully cooked. I had very nice tartar sauce and an amazing pea puree with mine. My 5 year old had chicken goujons and chips. She thought they were very nice. Staff... More
