Yesterday en route home from Tralee to Cork, we were starving and hoping the Mills would still be serving food at approx. 8.30 pm. Thankfully they were, place was packed and buzzing as usual, quickly found a table, ordered our meal and promptly it arrived. Beautiful steak, onions, mushrooms, chips and garlic butter, hubby had turkey roast of the day,... More

What a fantastic review you did for us at the Mills. Really appreciate that. We hope to see you again when you're passing. Even if we've stopped food service, always ask us and if it's at all possible, we'll do our best to rustle something up for you. Beidh míle fáilte romhat anseo sa Mhuileann i gconaí. More

Ballyvourney is a small vilage with just two Hotels. Having stayed here a few times over the past 4 years I would recommend The Mills Inn as the nicer place to stay. The Bedrooms are all finished in a very old fashioned style...some even have four-poster beds. The Bar has a decent Food Menu with something for everybody. The staff... More

We were originally allocated a room in the annex but it as not ready so we were accommodated in the main building. It was not until late when we retired for the night that we were disturbed continually until 3 a.m. The room (16) was directly above an exit door from the bar/restaurant and guests used this to go out... We appreciate that you took the time to review your visit to The Mills. We're so sorry to hear that your sleep was disturbed though Carol and that your breakfast experience wasn't as good as the bar food you had with us. We'll be meeting on this issue this week and see what might have gone wrong. I passed on... More

We stopped in for a bit of lunch on the way from Cork to Kenmare. The fish and chips was absolutely excellent, and the service was also fantastic. I particularly enjoy the tartar sauce and mushy peas which were given a little twist from the normal. Prices are reasonable top and service was fast, efficient and friendly.

We had a FANTASTIC hand pattied burger and fries along with a healthy salad and soup to share. A bigger menu than other restaurants in the town. It was pretty empty when we stopped in but they still were able to jump to getting our order in and presented quickly. Don't let the lack of visitors stop you from eating... More

Great food and very nice waiters who seem to really care about you. Overall really enjoyed the experience and variety of food there was. Breakfast and lunch were both served and we came here on out way to Blarney Castle. The ambiance is amazing and is right next to a small shop and easily accessible on a main road

Stopped for dinner on the way to Cork. Enjoyed the seafood chowder which was creamy with nice chunks of carrots, potatoes, prawns and fish. Service was excellent and locally brewed beers were offered. Burgers were extra thick and juicy, served with chips and a side salad. Interesting choices on the children's menu included Margarita pizza and soup of the day... More

Stopped on the way home from Killarney with my partner and young son, was apprehensive as have had some bad meals here, however it has turned a corner. Stopped for food here on several occasions. The pub grub is great. I have had the southern fried chicken which was lovely. My hubby had the beef lasagne. Service is quick and this place is always busy! It's a typical pub - great food, service, atmosphere & there is free parking too.
