We spent three nights at this hotel on a short break to Ireland. It's beautifully situated right on the Malahide Estuary, a short walk from the beach, cricket ground, DART station and local town. The hotel is modern enough to be very comfortable but quaint enough to have plenty of character. The layout of public areas is thoughtful, with plenty... More

Lovely two night romantic break having previously visited Oct 2015. Room was immaculately clean and comfortable with sea view. Ate in both bar and restaurant- delicious fish both nights but have to say preferred fish dish in bar which was much better value. Problem with bar was families with feral children whose parents believe others should endure whilst they ignore... More

An excellent hotel in every respect, food, service and location. The staff, particularly Alexandra on the front desk, were very helpful. There was a problem with our original room and we were changed to another room- much better- without any fuss. We had dinner in the restaurant on one night of our two night stay and it was very good.... More

We stayed here with two other couples on Saturday night, the entrance foyer was very nice but we were all disappointed with our rooms. The price we paid certainly did not reflect the condition of the room. We all agreed they were tired and in need of an update! We have stayed in much nicer places for a lot less. I... More

A long established, family owned, well run, sea front hotel with modern facilities blended with old world atmosphere, located within a vibrant small Irish town which is easily accessible by air, road and rail. We stayed there as part of a large family party from 80 years to 8 weeks old and all were more than satisfied. with the facilities... More

Malahide is always a pleasure to visit, great restaurants, bars and the sea, what more could you need? A great hotel helps. The Grand is not great but its getting better. Have stayed here many times before and felt the place was tired, especially when compared newly refurbished Portmanock Golf club. It seems the Grand is going through refurbishment. The... More

The Grand is one of the few genuine Victorian coastal hotels but with a real 21st century feel. Our conference went well and the level of service given to us by John was first class and you can see he just loves people with his natural Dublin charm.

What a lovely location in Malahide which i must say is a beautiful place - no 'kiss me quick' shops but individual shops and the coast line is beautiful. I went for 12 nights whilst holding some conferences at the hotel - conference facilitates excellent - my personal thanks to John for looking after us. The hotel staff are generally... More

Stayed at the Grand Hotel Malahide recently with my wife and our two girls aged 2 and 5. The girls really enjoyed the swimming pool. We were accomodated in a lovely big family room. Great breakfast and dining room. Very accomodating and friendly staff and Management. Have stayed here before. We will be back.
