Stayed there for a wedding with my girlfriend. Nice welcome from the staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and big and comfortable, a bit dated but I like old school hotels as well as modern. It reminded me of the Atlantic in Cornwall. Breakfast was ok, it does the job. It could be a bit better. I always... More

This is a grand and beautiful hotel in a stunning setting until you get to your room. The website advertises modern decor and spa/leisure facilities but was a huge disappointment for a reported four star hotel. The rooms and the leisure facilities are in need of attention, upgrade and repair. The four stars require urgent review or the facilities and... More

The GN is a majestic site sitting out on a bluff surrounded by a Golf Course and the sea. We had two rooms, one with a great view of Ben Bulben and the other with no view and barely a window. The room with no view had a fabulous renovated bathroom, while the room with the view needs updating. The... More

Stayed for one night as we were attending retirement do in a different hotel in Bundoran. The location is the best aspect of the hotel. It is situated on a headland just above a small beach and beside a beautiful coastal path. The views are amazing. The hotel itself felt a bit tired and could do with some redecorating and... More

Location is about all that is going for it. The hotel is outdated, the family room was bare and outdated but beds were comfy. The room walls are thin you can hear noises from next room. Went to the bar for bar food. Service is very slow, was only one young girl working and she was taking orders and filling... More

I'm working as a tour guide and I'm getting to see a lot of different hotels. The great northern has a lovely view and it's only a couple of minutes walk to the Main Street. The receptionist Jacky is exceptionally good, one of the best I ever dealt with! Fair play also to the staff in the restaurant in the... More

It was a pity are room had a leak, so couldn't use the shower. We had tried to use it & either the drainage wasn't working right or the... More
