The position of the hotel is good. Is just right in the center of Ballina, facing the river and the main bridge of the town. From several rooms, there is a very nice view. The hotel is actually nice, they tried to renovate it, but in my opinion they could have done a better job. In the room I was... More

A nice hotel in the centre of Ballina. Parking under the flats next door or on the street. Very enjoyable breakfast, a long time since I had white pudding. Arrive at 2330 and so the bar was closed but the night porter was able to direct me to a open bar just around the corner.

We stayed at the Ballina Manor in early July as part of a golfing holiday. The leisure facilities were out of action for refurbishment which was a pity for us but no doubt a bonus for people staying once re-open. The food was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Located in the heart of Ballina right next to... More

Writing on behalf of my in-laws who stayed there last night. They're your typical golden oldies who love to get away and often return to somewhere they like more than once, well not here anyway! Not impressed at all, only one starter brought out. Jug of warm water on the table, room far too warm, noise of the Main Street... More

We came across this hotel by accident and booked in for an overnight as we were exploring the area. From the reception onwards the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was spotless and a good size but the highlight for us was the restaurant overlooking the river. We had a table by the window and... More

I was fishing on the Moy, and stayed in the Ballina Manor. I have stayed before but it seems to improve each year. It is a great place for fishermen as if fishing on the Ridge pool it is a 2 minute walk away. The breakfast is good, although if they added kippers to the menu it would just move... More

Nice hotel , comfortable room but totally let down by broken curtain rail in room, full bin, cold water tap not working and on the tea tray a biscuit in half open packet with a bite out of it, also room too warm and noisey residents in corridors at all hours throughout the night, breakfast was also a big let... Stayed here for one night. We were very lucky to get an early check in which is always appreciated because I know it's hard to do and depends on a lot of factors so I was happy. Room was fine. You don't get water in the room which I thought was pretty much standard for most hotels but not a... More

Travelling on a coach tour our first nights accommodation was changed for some unknown reason to The Ballina Manor Hotel. Sadly the room we had was very hot when we arrived plus no A/C . However the friendliness of the staff plus the meals served were a credit to the establishment. Nothing was a problem .

We stayed here over night, with a group. Room was OK (a bit old), best to ask for view of the river. During diner, the dining room was hot, un comfortable, diner took more than an hour and a half and the fish portions was very very small. Othereise, both diner and breakfast were OK.
