We stayed here on Sunday August 14th for 1 night. It was our first time here but we will certainly be back next year. A piece of heaven is how I can describe this house. It is just fabulous and so relaxing. Sunday was also a beautiful day, so that was in our favour. Once checked in we sat out looking at the bay, having wine and cheese and the sun beating down on us (what more could you ask for!!) The room was beautiful. The whole house is georgous. The breakfast has to have been the nicest we ever had. John is a great host and Linda was also very nice and chatty etc. All staff were very nice. Top marks to all and we will see ye again soon. Thanks
In all honesty, you should wait to book your flights until after you have been able to reserve your room at Pax House. Perfect in every way. Amazing view, delicious breakfast and the kindest host in John O’Farrell. Divine. Stayed just one night- next time will stay three.
Lovely accommodation, amazing views, great service. Everyone is so welcoming and you do feel like a guest in a beautiful home. The location is a bit far for walking into town, on a narrow 2-lane road with no shoulder, and uphill coming back (they do provide neon high-visibility vests to wear if you walk it) but an easy 2-minute drive. John makes really great breakfasts! Your choice of main dish (perfect omelette, delicious pancakes, fancy oatmeal, etc - lots of choices) accompanied by multiple treats - little pastries, yogurt parfaits, juice etc. You also can get a fruit & cheese plate with wine in the afternoons, which was delightful. We stayed in the Cedar Sea View. It was large and bright, with beautiful views and a lovely little outdoor rooftop sitting area, all very private. Comfortable bed, lots of electrical outlets. The bathroom was wonderful - natural light, spacious, heated floor, great shower (rain and handheld) with good temp and pressure and a sliding glass door that doesn’t leak! A long ledge with plenty of space to lay out your toiletries. Big fluffy towels. A heated towel rack. The hair dryer was excellent too - a normal, full-power one with a regular cord and adjustable temperature. Everything was spotlessly clean and new-looking. This was the first place I booked when we started planning our trip to Ireland, based on the glowing reviews. It did not disappoint!…
You will not find a better place to stay in Dingle and frankly, the wonderful and kind innkeeper, John, needs to increase his rates because he offers spectacular experience for visitors at a bargain. He could double his rates and it would still be. a deal! The views from the rooms, the living area and restaurant are nothing less than amazing. The best part of the experience was breakfast. It was the best and freshest breakfast that we have ever had with homemade and delicious baked scones, delightful yogurts, and unique frittata salad that we are still talking about. We will never stay anywhere else. John is also the hardest working innkeeper we have ever seen. He kindly came out of his kitchen during breakfast to say goodbye to us! Such a wonderful man.
I just regret not to give more than to 5 stars to this amazing place! Everything is perfect with such a good taste! The rooom was absolutely lovely with a fantastic view and breakfast was at the level of a palace. For sure our next stop at Dingle will be at Pax guest house
This is without doubt the best Guest House I have stayed in. You are made feel at home from the minute you walk in the door. Jules the resident dog greats you with a wag of her tail and will disappear back to her view of Dingle Bay. The breakfast is outstanding . I can understand why it was voted best B&B in Ireland by The Irish Independent readers. When you see this many 5 star reviews it's for a reason. Looking forward to our next visit and I haven't even left yet.
John and his staff are incredible. Staying at Pax was a real treat for us. I can not imagine there is a finer place in Dingle. Everything about Pax was exquisite: the service, the food, the room, the view,... Wonderful décor with amazing art and with the most incredible views to Dingle Harbor and Bay. The place is spotless. John and his staff remember everyone's name and they take time to connect without being intrusive. The breakfast was the finest I have ever experienced at any inn or hotel. And, John was so kind as to prepare high quality to-go breakfast bags for us due to a very early checkout. I hope that we get to return some day soon.
PAX house is the perfect place to rest and refresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Every small detail of the house is inspiring and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you John and staff for an amazing visit!
An exquisite B&B with service and attention to detail. It truly focuses on both B’s - bed that was so comfortable surrounded by a great property and Breakfast that was worthy of many Michelin stars. What we truly appreciated that every allergen we mentioned was taken care of - by customizing our breakfast experience without sacrificing any of it! John, thank you so much for that! The views are excellent- so peaceful at any time of the day, perfect distance away from the town itself. And then there is Jules, the resident puppy, so delightful! Only challenge - we didn’t want to leave the place to actually go do any sightseeing!
From the moment I went in the door and was welcomed warmly by John I felt I was in for a treat. He showed me around while giving an informed history of the various stone structures still standing on either side of Dingle Bay which are within the amazing view from Pax House. True to its name, tranquility is definitely the atmosphere both inside and outside on the terrace. The attention to detail is probable the most outstanding feature here. The decor is unique, each bedroom uniquely decorated to the highest standard including extremely comfortable beds. Interesting art all chosen meticulously by the talented John is on display all around and each bedroom is named after the painting hanging across the corridor from it!!! His personal attention to each and every guest is matched by his staff who call each guest by name. They chat naturally and make it clear they are at hand to enhance your stay in anyway possible. The breakfast is without doubt the best I have ever eaten. Thoughtful touches from the Dia dhuit ar maidin to the fresh flowers appealing to so many senses. The food surpasses any I’ve seen or had, the little treats just set the tone for freshly cooked and baked delights that followed.…
