Very nice place. Very clean. Excellent location. Definitely I will return. I been there with my family (wife and daughter) and I really recommend. Staff very committed giving a full time attention for us. Good breakfast and very nice atmosphere.
Staying for nearly a week we felt at home soon. The host was friendly and helpful in any inqiries and from our room we had a nice view over Dingle Bay. As we are two friends (and not lovers) we were happy to have two seperate beds. Everything was well organised and we loved the spacious bathroom with a rooflight. The advantage of having quiet nights outweighed the short walk uphill by far.
This is a typical Irish b&b. It’s not fancy as others have mentioned but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. It’s on Goat Street a couple of blocks from restaurants and pubs so everything is an easy walk.
We stayed at this location about 3 years ago and decided to book it again based on previous experience. Rooms are cozy and well organized, beds comfortable(except the plastic mattress cover). Location is the best, walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. The owner was very accommodating and even assisted us in locating a tire repair shop. What i didn't like: We were informed upon checkin that because we had booked the rooms through a travel sight that we would pay an extra 10 euro for the second B in a B and B. Very disappointing that we were not advised of this while booking. Supposed we could have missed the fine print, hmmmmm. At close to 90 euros per night, I thought the extra charge was unnecessary, either way. Buyer beware.
We booked late so a lot of the B&Bs had no vacancies already. I was prepared to be disappointed by this B&B. Quite the contrary experience. This place was clean, well equipped and professionally managed. Rooms were spacious, each ensuite. Pricing was lower than other B&Bs on out trip. One unusual attribute to this B&B is that it's pet friendly or at least that's what I had read. The only pet I saw was the owner's dog though. I have allergies to cats and dogs so when I learned they allowed pets I was apprehensive. Very clean rooms, no allergy issues for me or my wife who is even my allergic than me. Location was ~ one block off of Dingle town center. Very walkable; albeit, the B&B is located at the top of the hill so expect the hike back up the hill if you're on foot.
Stayed here for 1 night thank goodness it was the worst B&B Our friends booked it on the internet as she had read it was only 350 metres from the see I think that might be as the crow flies we were shown to our rooms OMG I've seen better in hostels it was awful 2 double beds and a single with a dilapidated chest of drawers all crammed in it was hard to move around The shower although it looked clean had a dirty old towel in the bottom of it so therefore we did not use it.the television had no remote and when we went to enquire about it there was nobody around to ask Continuing downstairs into the lounge prepare to be transported back to a mixture of eras it was a mishmash of really old horrible furniture This b&b needs a good makeover everywhere is decorated in the worst possible taste The one redeeming factor was the breakfast The girls who cooked and served were excellent as was the food. When we came to check out I told the owner that we had no remote for the tv and she said "Oh they are always stealing them this is the 3rd one this month" I really can't imagine for 1 minute who on earth would want to steal a remote for an old 20inch ? tv no apologises whatsoever When we went to pay there was a sticky note on the counter to say the credit card machine was not working it was cash only and that certainly would have been a problem. Other customers who were also checking out and expressed their opinion that it wasn't possible to pay cash and lo and behold she went and got the hand held credit card machine out with the explanation that it doesn't always work but we could try PPPPPPPLEASE !!!!!!! When it was our turn to use the cc machine she announced that the price of the room was 140 euros we told her the price advertised was100 euros and she said but they haven't included the breakfast. Now perhaps I'm wrong but I assumed when a b&b advertises their rates then unless they state that breakfast is not included you would assume that it was and it just felt as though we were being conned. I think this woman is very wily and would like to get as much money IN CASH out of you.…
Nice B&B located within a quick walk to pubs and restaurants. The room was cosy and clean, beds comfortable. Our room was facing the street, so there was street noise, cars and people talking. It didn’t bother me, but my friend noticed. Breakfast was very good and filling. I would stay here again.
The location was great in that we could park our car and walk to town for shopping and eating. The accommodations were ok. Nothing spectacular. We were greeted at the front desk by a young man who looked like he had just been woken up from a nap. Not a great first impression. The directions also given were very hard to understand and it took some time to find the place.
Best accommodation ever. Host went out of her way, over and above, on a weekend to help us in a bind. I would go back there tomorrow. Can’t recommend her place enough. Everything was brilliant. Location perfect, warm, parking available, breakfast great too.
Perched at the top of a major thoroughfare, Boland’s is a quiet oasis in lovely and lively Dingle. The beds are comfy, great showers, super hospitality and breakfast is more than enough. I highly recommend Boland’s to be your home away from home when visiting Dingle!
