This is not a B&B in the true meaning of the word. The best question to ask when booking a B&B is to ascertain that the host dwells in the same house. We find this arrangement provides a more intimate setting where the host takes pride in her home and table fare. I have been to

We have been praying for you since you left and hope your current health issues are much improved . Your husband told us about them when he apologised to my husband for your behavour. We did source you bananas to your specifications ( soft in the middle), we do not grow bananas in Ireland so they can be a little ripe or green on occassion . We do however bring in our own organic apples from our trees and wild blackberries we pick when in season. I cooked your fried eggs supplied by our chickens for your breakfast in the mornings and saw you in the dining area eating them perhaps you had forgotten this . We gave you, your husband and the other couple travelling with you our previous home you had the entire home which was given as a kind loving gesture to ensure you had your own space and a more comfortable stay. We start each morning at 7:45 am and only leave to attend our sheep and our ailing parents. We do this 7 days a week and love our home, business and girls that work with us . We only ask for you to show a little respect to them please while @ An Capall Dubh. Our numbers are displayed our girls are on site until @8pm. We can be emailed or called at all hrs of the day. With regard towels. You had 9 bath towels 2 foot towels 2 hand towels on your arrival . We ask each guest at breakfast as we did you if you request any fresh towels or linens or your rooms serviced each day. It is up to the guest when asked this question to answer yes or no. With regards bed linen. We have duvets that are changed as are the covers fitted sheets matress protectors white and coloured pillow case covers and protectors(ie all the lien) when each guest depart, the mattress even gets turned . I make the beds myself. Its a shame you did not enjoy your stay with us. Your other companions where engaging and interested in our language and culture and told us they where related to Peig Sayers husband A Guiheen which we informed them makes them related to one of the girls here . The b& b rooms were full so we got to stay in a spacious bedroom house. There is a parking lot on the property which you need. It’s also set back so maybe a bit quieter from the rowdy pubs. The breakfast was outstanding, and the staff really friendly and helpful for leads on

An capall dubh was a wonderful experience for my family and I. We spent 7 nights in a 3 bed house which ticked all the boxes..clean,well equipped, superb location, quiet.. basically just perfect for us. Helena and Patrick could not have been more helpful in their recommendations.

Patrick and Helena, the owners, were warm, welcoming, accommodating and were focused on providing a low key and wonderful experience. We were late and a quick call to Patrick gave us access to the building and our unlocked room. They provided great advice and directions. The
