Certificate of Excellence
Dromquinna Manor is a 40 acre estate on the shores of Kenmare Bay. The Manor is dedicated to catering for weddings up to 180 guests in a magnificent Victorian building with a warm contemporary decor. A simply stunning setting with personal service. We have 14 tents on the grounds which are fully furnished and feature really comfy beds with duck down duvet and goose down pillows. Camping was never like this. The Boathouse Wine Bar & Bistro offers a tantalizing selection of dishes by the water. Shutters on the Pier is an informal party venue on the water that is ideal for informal parties for up to 120 people.

We had hoped for a holiday where we could relax..have nice scenery and family style holiday. We had days of glorious sunshine overlooking the bay with breathtaking views and space for our children to play. Couldn't ask for any more. Lovely neighbours...family barbq's...even more memorable when the rain came!!! Fun memories for us all to treasure. Thanks Dromquinna. We will 100% be back!!!!

My husband,I & our 3 kids went last Friday night. First impressions were fantastic, the place is very well kept and the tents are beautiful. The scenery is amazing and we were delighted UNTIL it came to bedtime. We went to bed at 11pm, around the same time the band started playing at the wedding in the Manor, 100 yards from the glamping site. Ŵe might as well have been at the weddding, we could hear very clearly all the music, the band finished at 1.15 only to have a DJ till 3.45, followed by a sing song, outside. After 4 hours of sleep, the next morning my husband and I went to voice our anger at the fact that the music was blaring till 4 am and we couldn't sleep. We were told by the owner that Dromquinna is a wedding venue and it is stated on the confirmation email this fact, amd we should have checked if there was a wedding on the day we were staying. He actually compared it to staying in A Radisson hotel and having a wedding on there. One major fact overlooked by Mr. Brennan is that Hotels have walls not tents to absorb noise! The lady on reception handed us back our voucher and told us to come back another night when there was no wedding, but both her and Mr Brennan still continued to argue with us that we shouldn't have expected to sleep because, in their words"it was a Irish wedding". Seriously, what do they take people for? You can't advertise luxury camping in a beautiful tranquil location and have weddings too. The 2 ideas do not work well together, in my opinion.

Big functions will put any restaurant to the test. Dromquinna passed with flying colours. We ate here twice over one weekend.. first at a wedding with over 120 guests in the manor main function rooms, where the food and service was flawless. Later, a smaller buffet reception at the Boathouse Bistro. Simpler food, but equally good. Service throughout was great.

Many thanks John for tour review. We are delighted you enjoyed the wedding and after party. Thankfully the weather played its part given the time of year. Lovely couple and group of friends. Thanks again,

My wife and I visited for lunch. We have a house in the area so Dromquinna is well known to us. The setting is magical as the winding entrance road opens up to a vista that must rank amongst the best the world can offer. The Boathouse restaurant is [naturally] based on a sailing theme that is clean but perhaps a little clinical in perspective. That said the excellent quality of the food, combined with the wonderful outlook, makes this a venue that shouldn't be missed. My only real criticism is they do not serve afternoon tea as the setting would be an idyllic place to blissfully while away a couple of hours in the afternoon.

Attending a stunning wedding at this location. The food was outstanding and I really mean this. The staff were incredible the attention to detail was just fantastic. The location is beautiful. One small thing the dancing space was small and very hot - mainly due to the heating being on. Fabulous bus service back to town. Again keep up the good work and the high standards. There is just glamping available on this site but lots of local hotels available and great service. Kenmare is really well set up for weddings, guests and visitors. Was very pleasantly surprised.
