Lovely, intimate resort with beautiful rooms, excellent service and delicious food choices. Our west-facing overwater bungalow was perfect and private. We are so glad we made the long trip from the West Coast, USA. The house reef is beyond beautiful for snorkeling and swimming. Diving and other activities are easy to schedule. Snorkeling highlights: local anemones and their clownfish. Local gentle sharks were exciting to see, as were two hawksbill turtles. The resort is as beautiful as the pictures say.... Food is creative, well prepared and interesting. The kitchen staff clearly work hard; there is a lot of variety. We enjoyed the Maldivian breakfast, and the fish curries in the evening. Lunch at Forno was delightful. One night we had local lobster at SALT-a highlight. A shout-out to Raw Sunset Bar-perfect way to end a busy yet relaxing day-the Huvafen Fushi Tea Party cocktail is absolutely fun and delicious. Resort staff are friendly and professional. Ali and Saudh were so helpful. Everyone works hard to make your visit memorable and relaxed. There are many small, yet lovely, surprises during a stay. Flipflops, cool towels, iced grapes, and my favorite: the evening chocolate/dried fruit tray waiting when we returned from dinner. The Spa is incredible and staff is very knowledgeable. We recommend both underwater treatments and the Dhimaalis Maldivian experience. What can one say about an underwater treatment room except "try it"! Very easy to get to the resort by boat from the airport and transfer arrangements are seamless with the resort. We will be back.

This was our third island we visited on our trip and we are so happy was saved it for the last - it was the best! We were blown away by the room - it was massive, stylishly decorated, extremely comfortable and the patio was something else. We always opted for a room with a pool and as it's so lovely & warm it's great to have the pool to relax in. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful - the huge hot tub was a little awkward to use but it had a great view of the sunset! The infinity pool area was stunning and we spent a lot of time there. They had so many wonderful little things like spray bottles to keep you cool. And the resident herons were fun to watch. We felt that the Salt restaurant could have benefited from an age limit (or perhaps no young kids after 8pm) as there was a very noisy child and baby crying that really affected our visit. We ate and left as it was difficult to enjoy the fine dining experience with the disruption. We loved the sharks! We are not huge fans of buffets and one evening they had only buffet dinner and they accommodated us with a la carte service and we appreciated that. The scuba team were awesome and we had great dives with them. My partner got to swim with dolphins of the house reef which was amazing. Highly highly recommend the 2 hour couples massage experience in the underwater spa. Absolute bliss and we got to enjoy the view of the reef whilst drinking champagne! Ultimately we would choose this resort again in a heartbeat but would love to see an above 8 years old age limit. Would maybe suggest getting on the Whatsapp program to communicated with the butler there were a few things we missed out on as we didn't know they were happening.

The hotel itself and the staff service were amazing. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Everywhere is very open and safe for anyone worried about covid. Also, the hotel makes the entire covid concerns less stressful by arranging the test in a safe and professional manner outside one’s room. The food was great and I recommend the lemongrass spritzer drink (non alcoholic). From the airport to the hotel (on boat) and back, the staff made our arrival and departure much easier and non- stressful guiding us and helping with the luggage. The room was very spacious and only a few steps away is the ocean where it feels like being at one’s own private beach. It was truly relaxing and the ocean absolutely beautiful. Honorable mention: Naadi and Shamil… and everyone else at the hotel :)

This is a luxurious traditional style of island, the villas are immaculate and a very good size and kitted out with all the luxury amenities you'd expect of a resort in this price range. The island is very small but you never feel crowded even in the restaurants at night with the resort at capacity which adds to the feeling of exclusivity. The beaches are stunning as is the crystal clear water in the lagoons. The house reef is outstanding with a lot of sealife to be seen (colourful reef fish, clown fish, barracuda, sharks, rays, turtles etc.). It's easily accessible from the beach - just some 20m from shore and even swimming to the reef entrance you'll see a lot of fish etc. The staff were outstanding - Ali and Saudh especially did everything they could to accommodate us and this made the stay all the more special. All the staff we met knew our little girls name and always greeted her with a big smile - this made the stay all the more personable. Anything we needed during the stay Saudh made sure he did his best to accommodate our needs. Spa services are great and the underwater spa is definitely an experience like no other! My wife had a Spa treatment and we also did the underwater spa-aquarium experience with our little one which is highly recommended with their resident marine biologist. We were not overly enthusiastic with the food offerings and quality at Celsius for the evening. The menus tend to be quite static with only the set menu varying - it was "ok/adequate" but I'd say this was one thing to improve given the price point of the island and was especially challenging given our long stay (11 nights) at the island. In comparison to other 5 star resorts we've stayed at in the Maldives this was probably the weakest area. Having said that the breakfast was actually very good/excellent (loved the indian curry at breakfast) and also Salt, the Japanese sushi restaurant was also very good (although not included in the half board you get some credit to use). Their infinity pool was also a highlight and right on the beach area so you could with between the two quickly (my little girl loved the pool). The resort is really convenient location (far enough away from Male but still just a quick speedboat transfer (35 mins) which meant we were on the island and enjoying it without long waits at the seaplane transfer lounges Would recommend you pick the ocean side of the island which are the deluxe beach villas or the water villas as the standard beach villas are on the lagoon side which is where the boats and watersports are. Plus it's direct access to the reef - All in all - very highly recommended and would definitely consider it on a return to the Maldives

Convenient resort a 30 minute boat ride from the airport. Pros: - spacious infinity pool, was quiet most of the time we were there - approachable and friendly staff - free snorkeling gear rental, free kayak rental and free paddle board rental - room cleaning twice a day - complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolates on arrival, and a nightly small snack - loved the breakfast, good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, and a crepe/waffle/pancake chef, plus savoury offerings including veg, noodles, curry, Maldivian reef fish Cons: - the standard beach bungalows all seem to be on the lagoon side (I.e. not the reef side): this is where the airport and other motorized boats come in, jet skis will whizz past too, you will therefore not want to swim in the sea facing this side at all, and we hardly ended up using the deck chairs in our bungalow as a result of this. At least it’s only a short two minute walk to the beach on the reef side. - the half board price does not include water at dinner, that’s ridiculous given how expensive this resort already is. Alcohol is not included either and it’s not cheap (beer bottles range from $12.50 to $24). - the dinner menu at Celsius is included in half board price but it’s quite limited if you’re not a fish eater - make sure your budget factors in additional 10% service charge and 12.5% sales tax on absolutely everything (water sports, spa treatments etc). The water sports brochure only mentions this in small print unfortunately, so make sure you add on 22.5% to all quoted prices in the brochure. Americans will be used to this, but it catches Europeans off guard. I did a watersport and tipped the instructor in cash before I realised there was going to be a 10% service charge added on to the bill. Note (not a con or a pro): you may immediately think of aquatic animals when you think of Maldives, but there is an active wildlife on land too. In particular, the fruit bats are big (wing span between 1m and 1.5m), you will see them flying regularly even during the day and on a few occasions they swoop down to sip water from the pool. Lizards are common, they made me jump out of my skin when a couple fell from the bathroom ceiling in to the sink when I was using it. Another was hiding behind my washbag, so please do shut your wash bags if leaving them in the bathroom. Birds around the pool will often come up and steal food and nuts, so leave these covered. Overall, a fabulous resort with a convenient house reef, but perhaps a bit overpriced considering what’s on offer.
