My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Baros and had the most amazing holiday! 5 star service from start to finish and the staff are all so friendly and a special thanks to Hasir who was our main contact through our time there. We had a beautiful candlelit dinner on the beach one night which was so special. The breakfast was incredible but we did find overall the food for dinner expensive but tasty. The house reef was amazing and we snorkelled every day and seeing sharks was a particular highlight. Nil complaints and would highly recommend for anyone going to the Maldives!

We arrived at the airport and was met by the representative that immediately escorted us to the speed boat. We did not wait. We were at the resort in 25 mins and then the experience of a lifetime started. We have been to the maldives more than 15 times and this resort was the best we ever experience. The room was gorgeous and spacious and the pool was the right temperature and beautifully private. The best part was the excellent service that the Manager -Shazeel and the Front office manager gave us throughout the stay. It was our anniversary and they arranged the sandbank dinner for us that was so romantic. This is the most romantic hotel and the food is delicious. The restaurants were out of this world. From the breakfast to the elaborate dinners. Prawns and lobster every night if you wish. The lighthouse served the best cocktails for sun downers. The setting is beautiful. We can’t wait to be back. Thanks to the great team at Baros. This exceeded all our expectations.

Perfect week for our first time in the Maldives! Only a 25 minute boat trip from Male which after a long travel day was so nice. Even with the short distance from the airport, the views are serene with blue waters and male off in the far, far distance. The island is small and feels intimate and private with a variety of room types. We opted for a water villa which was lovely! Amazing views, crystal clear water and the option to jump in and out of the water from our room. Plenty of group activities to choose from but all small groups (under 8 pac) which was nice. Personal favorite was the night snorkeling! Depending on the time of year, recommend taking a look at the weather as May-August is rainy season and can cause tours to be cancelled bc of weather and visibility. The spa is top notch and they serve the best ginger tea! High quality services and therapists! Overall service was impeccable, everyone is so friendly, helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely fabulous Resort with wonderful accommodations, great food, superb service, and the friendliest people! We were only here for five nights and the time just flew by - our departure day came much too quickly. We stayed in an over water bungalow that was amazing and tranquil. We spent as much time in the water as we could - I was truly amazed by the beauty under the water. Everything here was magical and I would return in a heartbeat!

The experience was great. The water villas are beautiful. But the best is the incredible service with your private host and everyone willing to help you 24/7. food in the 3 restaurants and the drinks at the bar are very good and the house reef is just amazing for snorkelling day and night.

My husband and I came here as our first holiday in 3 years after we decided to treat ourselves after working hard through the pandemic. This place didn't let us down. We choose a deluxe beach villa and I couldn't find a single thing to improve it. It had everything we needed. A huge comfortable bed, an amazing outdoor/indoor bathroom, endless supplies of drinks/toiletries/ clean towels etc. Our outside space was amazing leading straight into a beautiful magical crystal clear white sands beach! Life jackets/snorkeling mask and fins were supplied also free of charge and we spent most of our days snorkeling in the warm waters looking at the ref which was available within a few meters of our back door. As I'm not a strong swimmer I initially felt nervous but soon realized I was safe as there is a reef wall build to keep the water inside it calmer but plenty of gaps for the middle confident snorkeler to go in and out. As for the food, we were there for 7 days and ate 3 time per day and tried different things every day and we didn't have a single bad meal! The food was always fresh and delicious . Plenty of variety and really something for everyone as there was for from all over the world and plenty for vegetarians and vegans. However the thing that really made the holiday perfect was the people! Everyone was kind and thoughtful. Helpful when needed and couldn't do enough for us. I'm sorry I didn't get everyone's names. The staff in the lime restaurant where we had breakfast/lunch/dinner always greeted us with a smile and service was always excellent. Not a bad dish in the menu that we could find! The cayenne restaurant staff were also amazing with delicious food and we had a great Maldivian themed night there. We went to the lighthouse restaurant one evening, they gave us what we would describe as Michelin star quality food with excellent service . We often went to the Sails bar for lunch or a snack and we're always looked after well, Madhu was often there at lunch time and was always kind, helpful and made us feel at home, he very quickly learnt our favorite drinks! When you arrive on the island you are allocated a host who is your first point of contact if you need anything, we contacted Tholley our host easily via WhatsApp (internet access on the island is excellent) and he immediately dealt with it as if by magic. On the last day our flights wasnt until evening but we were allowed to start in our rooms until we left the island at 5pm! Hassan who helped keep our villa clean and tidy was always happy to work around our unpredictable schedule and make the place look spotless and sand free! How he did it I don't know! Thank you The front office manager Imthiyaz was regularly present and chatted with us often, he was keen to ensure we were happy and highlighted activities and facilities on the island and was helpful if we had any requests issues! I can't say anything other than if you're thinking of booking go ahead. It's worth it ! It really is!

This was our second trip to Baros . The hospitality , the beautiful house reef and the deluxe villa being right at the edge of water brought us back . Additionally as the resort is only a 20 minute boat ride from the airport , it is convenient even if one has a late flight . We were given the room till 8pm which was our departure time . That was very convenient .Also due to the short distance from the airport, one is at the resort in no time after landing . Our visit was as enjoyable as the last time . The staff was very helpful and efficient from the time they received us at the airport to our departure. Our villa host Daria was very helpful and efficient. A big thanks to her from all of us . The food choice was sufficient and the quality was excellent especially the breakfast . The snorkelling is exceptional as the reef is literally right at one door step . The lovely thing about Baros is that it is not crowded and there is a very calming atmosphere that is great for a relaxing holiday . One suggestion is that the menu of the Lighthouse restaurant needs to be reviewed as the set menu at US $235 per head is steep. All in all the entire family really enjoyed our stay.

From the moment we arrived in Male and met our Baros representative we felt like royalty until we departed at the airport. The speed boat was waiting for us with cool towels to wipe our face and hands after our long journey. They took care of us and our luggage and whisked us off to Paradise. Only a short 25 minute boat ride, we were met by friendly smiling faces and taken to have a cool drink and wait to meet our lovely Villa Host, Hashir. He explained to us the Island and showed us to our water villa while our bags were brought to our villa. Hashir gave us his WhatsApp abs anything we needed we just messaged and it was done for us. The turn down service at night with a sweet treat was a lovely touch as was the staff waving us off as we left. We had a Baros representative take us in the airport and helped us check in and saw us off as we went through to customs. Everywhere you turn on the Island is picturesque and you are always met with a friendly smiley face at every restaurant, bar, activity , spa and any worker you meet along the way. The water villa was gorgeous and the view off the balcony was spectacular! The food everywhere was delicious , although food on the Island is expensive. Live music many nights made for a fun evening. Travelling with a friend who had food allergies they were so attentive, it was incredible. Baros is a small island and no bikes or vehicles on the island except for a few electric bikes for the staff to bring bags to room etc. it is wonderful and quiet and you cannot help but slow down and relax. The water is warm and you will constantly see fish, small sharks and manta rays swimming by. If you are looking for a luxury idyllic holiday, Baros is the place to go.

Baros is as close to perfect as you will find. Beautiful rooms, poweder sand beaches and an amazing house reef full of tropical fish and reef sharks. It is a short 20 minute speedboat transfer from the airport. But Baros is made special by the staff they employ. Although there are around 250 staff housed on the island, you never really see many of them. We were met on our arrival by Domi Astuti, Guest Experiences Manager. Throughout our stay, she always had time for a chat and even bought us drinks on the last evening. Another oustanding staff member was Sujata Rai, hostess in the Loime Restaurant. Always cheerful and welcoming. Room - we stayed in a Deluxe Villa, with direct access to the beach. The room was spacious, comfortable with an outsdie bathroom. There is something magical about taking a shower in the outside tropical air. The room was maintaimed immaculately, and there was always plenty of complimentary bottled water. Dining - we ate at all 3 of the restaurants. Lime Restaurant for breakfast and sometimes dinner. The breakfasts were superb with every imaginable option available, including champagne and sushi. We ate twice in the Cayenne Grill, once for the seafood buffet (outstanding options) and for the arabic menu at the end of Ramadan. We had our wedding anniversary dinner at the Lighthouse. It is quite expensive but the flavours and presentation are better than I've ever seen. We sepnt most of our days either lying on the beach or snorkelling on the amazing house reef. The coral is pretty much dead due to climate change, but is showing some signs of recovery. The quantity and diversity of fish and sharks is great and you can spend hours just watching the fish go about their daily live. Would I come again? Absolutely, without doubt. Thank you to everyone who made my holiday so special.
