We went there 10 days in January, and again 10 in March. That how we like this place! The island is near to the airport, (25 min. with luxury speed boat). Magnificent garden and forest. Villas are quite good, with everything you might need. Restaurants with wide food variety. Barefoot tourism in its best! Snorkelling all around island, few meters from your villa. Choose the period of the month with the full moon. Than the magic is completed. In January ask for Laguna side, and in March the reef side of the island, because of the wind. Without wind and waves, the impression is much better. We will go back for sure. Best regards and strong support for all staff there, for our very hard working, perfectly organized, always smiling and extremely kind Friends🌹! They are making Paradise from that small piece of land!

Hotel's Favorite
We arrived at the airport and was met by the representative that immediately escorted us to the speed boat. We did not wait. We were at the resort in 25 mins and then the experience of a lifetime started. We have been to the maldives more than 15 times and this resort was the best we ever experience. The room was gorgeous and spacious and the pool was the right temperature and beautifully private. The best part was the excellent service that the Manager -Shazeel and the Front office manager gave us throughout the stay. It was our anniversary and they arranged the sandbank dinner for us that was so romantic. This is the most romantic hotel and the food is delicious. The restaurants were out of this world. From the breakfast to the elaborate dinners. Prawns and lobster every night if you wish. The lighthouse served the best cocktails for sun downers. The setting is beautiful. We can’t wait to be back. Thanks to the great team at Baros. This exceeded all our expectations.

I stayed for 5 days 4 nights in the month of May and was fortune enough to experience 5 days with almost no rain. My villa host Vishan was very meticulous and ensured that our every needs was met. The attention to detail is one that I have never experienced anywhere else and the staffs made me feel right at home. Food options were plenty as well and quality was good. Feedback for Baros to potentially bump the experience up from a 9/10 one to a 10/10 one 1) Provide better quality slippers for guest to use (As most of the walking on Baros will be done with slippers a more comfortable pair of slippers will be welcomed) 2) Provide bicycles to guest staying in water villa as the walk from the water villa to the island is very far

We choose Baros due to its proximity of only 30mins away from airport via speedboat. This facilitated easier planning and us spending more time on the beach vs transferring between airport and resort. It also eliminate my concern of seaplane not flying, especially on our arrival or departure day, due to bad weather. We stayed 6 nights, a mix of water villa and deluxe villa, in Baros in May 2022. It is low season and we like it as the resort is not so crowded. 1. Weather - We have around 3 Sunny/cloudy days while the remaining 3 days comes with an hour or two of strong wind and heavy rain. Best time to visit Maldives is January to March. 2. Transfer to Baros - We stayed a night in Hulhumale before transferring to Baros next morning. The 25/30mins speedboat transfer were seamlessly arranged for our early check-in. If you ever got lost, go to counter #4 outside the arrival hall at Male airport. 3. Food - We were totally spoiled for choices for their breakfast, including ala carte orders, as there are just so many delicious options to go for. I can confidently say that Baros offer the best spread of breakfast as compared to all other hotels or resorts that we have visited so far in the world. Lunch? With such hearty breakfast/brunch, we skipped lunch. On half board dining package and we had all our dinners (3 course meals) in Lime restaurant. The food portion were generous + so so delicious especially the Pan Seared Lobster pasta. 4. Activities - We enjoyed the Spa, botanic garden walk and snorkeling to see their house reefs. The house reefs were amazing and good enough for us as beginners trying to snorkel. Complimentary snorkeling goggles and flippers were provided. Our one & only disappointment was we booked twice to go for Sunset Dolphin Cruise but were both cancelled due to weather (definitely nothing to do with Baros, just ain't the right month). 5. Accommodations - Water Villa offers best privacy and the mainland is visible from the villa. You could hear the sound of waves (soothing if weather is good, crushing if strong winds) at night. Deluxe villa have a cool outdoor shower, is very quiet at night and the beach is just literally at your doorstep. We were happy to experience both types of villa and love both. 6. Service - Top top notch! Our villa host, Rifaau, was prompt in his replies to our queries or requests. We really appreciated the villa host's upmost effort to catch up and provide all guests with the best experience in Baros. We really feel like VIP as all the staff you see greets you with a sunny smile. If you are still considering which Maldives resort to go, choose Baros!!!

I don't even know where or how to begin. We just returned yesterday after 4 amazing days in this paradise. When we decided to travel to maldives for our 10th anniversary, we had absolutely no clue how to choose a resort, how much budget to keep aside. After a lot of research, we narrowed down to 10-12 resorts , some that fit in our budget and some that didn't fit but had stolen our hearts. Baros was in the second category. When we started doing further research, many of the resorts had reviews which suggested racism against Indians in addition to average service and we simply kicked them off our list. We can't afford to travel to a foreign country and return with scarred memories. This was going to be a once in a lifetime trip after all. We sent emails to the shortlisted 4-5 resorts and got the quickest replies only from baros(almost always within 10 minutes). No matter how many questions we asked with a change in itinerary, dates, meal plans, their replies were always prompt and professional. This, along with the amazing book direct offers they had, the gorgeous pictures on their website, the unending great reviews we kept reading about everything in Baros meant we had zeroed in on our dream Maldives destination! So after extending our budget by a HUGE margin, we finally booked Baros!!! And once we did, our excitement couldn't be contained and it was becoming harder to wait for the D day .We booked 2 days in deluxe villa and 2 days in water pool villa. When we arrived at the airport, we cleared immigration within 10 minutes!!! The quickest entry into a country ever!!! Anees was already waiting at the arrival section, he immediately lead us to the Baros counter while carrying our luggage, checking in on how our journey was and he called the boat when we headed to the dock and there it was just as we reached the dock! Even before our minds could register what was happening, we were already on the way to our dream destination!! It was very rough weather, the water was super choppy. The team on the boat kept checking with us every few minutes if we were doing ok but we were all smiles the entire time :) As soon as we reached and deboarded the boat, we were greeted by Baros staff and we met our villa host Rifaau. He was friendly throughout, always responsive and prompt on Whatsapp message or call. While we were sipping on our yummy welcome drinks in the Sails bar, he gave us a brief history of Baros and then gave a quick tour of the restaurants before leading us to our gorgeous deluxe villa, where we spent the next 2 days. The best part of the room was the greenery all around and the mesmerizing tub and open bath area!!! The weather, though rainy, was perfect for this room. It's fully surrounded with large trees and lots of plants and felt perfect in the rainy weather which was a welcome change for us coming from hot and humid mumbai. We just loved walking from room to the beach as well as to the restaurants through an amazingly well maintained landscape! However on day 2, we had to cancel our sunset cruise and island dining because of the weather and we were getting a bit disheartened as we had only 2 more nights to enjoy the activities that we were offered. We expressed our disappointment to Rifauu, he said he would talk to the manager and see what they could do to compensate for the cancellations. The next day was surprisingly sunny with no rain! So we were told we could do the sunset cruise. But what was an unexpected surprise was that they upgraded us to the dolphin cruise!!! we got super happy :) we saw lots of dolphins including the spinner dolphins. We were given champagne and canapes on board as well. We had moved to the water pool villa in the morning. I have no words for this room! This is probably the most luxurious place we have stayed at, and probably will ever stay at! the view from the room was GORGEOUS! The shades of blue and turquoise green are so mesmerizing that we could not stop taking pictures!! At night we spent some time on the beautiful comfy day bed in patio, the breeze was just beautifully soothing, with nothing but darkness all around. We didn't want to get up from there but sadly had to as we had to head for dinner. The bed, the Bose sound system, the look and feel of the room, all were top notch. On our last evening here, we were blessed with a stunning sunset, we had not even expected it due to the weather we had seen the previous 3 days. We got super lucky because our room was right in the direction of the sunset and we could not stop taking beautiful pictures. My husband and I are crazy about sunsets and this was the perfect way to spend our last evening here. The delux villa is very earthy and rustic, whereas the water villa is very posh and chic. Walking on the path to the overwater Villas at night was one of the most romantic things ever. The villas look super beautifulI at night. They are lit up very subtly yet magically enhancing their look even more. Am so glad we got to experience both the room styles and both kinds of weather. Both room types are very different from each other but equally amazing!!. Coming to the food, the breakfast items are too many and too delicious! 4 days were not enough to sample everything!! :D The food and desserts at all restaurants were really yummy. The service level is unparalleled! We never had to wait for a long time for any of the orders to arrive. The two special dinners that were included in our package were the island dinner and the lighthouse dinner. Again, both super romantic and once in a lifetime experience!! On the night of the island dinner, there was live music playing at the Sails bar. It just complemented the beautiful romantic ambience of dining by the beach along with the sound of the waves. The lighthouse was an entirely different experience as well. Service top notch, food exquisite and very different and unique flavours. We saw nurse sharks, reef Sharks, rays and small fishes pass by below our dining deck while having dinner. The soothing live Jazz music enhanced our experience here! Just wow!!! Best part about this resort is the very shallow house reef (which is inside the wall). Non swimmers like me and my husband could easily float here with our life jackets and could explore the basic levels of coral and cute fishes. We were super happy to be able to do even this much on our own with no one's help!! The staff, like every single review mentions, is super amazing and friendly. Some names to mention are - Villa host Rifauu for arranging sweet surprises and for always being responsive and friendly! Afa at Lime, she always greeted us with a smile during breakfast and chatted with us. Domi, the guest relations mgr, who took our feedback on our stay and saw us off with a sweet smile! Another guy at Cayenne who was really friendly during our dinner there, didn't catch his name. Anees who greeted us at the airport and also bid us goodbye (he was with us till we entered the security check area!). We forgot to download an important immigration document and thanks to his presence with us at the airport, we could use his hotspot and download it on time!! And one thing which I must mention - we didn't see any other resort representative with the guests inside! What a great job Baros has done here! Budhika at Sails bar was very friendly, chatted with us each time we were there. He once asked what our favourite cocktails are, which were not part of the all inclusive list (mai tai and margarita) He said not a problem, I will do it for you! And he made amazing cocktails and served is which made us so happy! Our server at the Lighthouse restaurant (Naseem, if I got his name right) was also very friendly quick with everything. Truly grateful for all these people and the other staff of Baros for making our once in a lifetime super luxurious trip very very memorable! I can go on and on with the review but don't want to make it more long so I'll stop it here 😃 We definitely, without a doubt recommend this to other travelers who are looking for a peaceful yet luxurious vacation.

Baros is THE best! Just arrived back home from our honeymoon and absolutely had to write a review to say thanks to the full team at beautiful Baros, we will most definitely be back. We had a water villa... it was absolutely perfect... so so private and perfect for our honeymoon. We snorkeled daily around the island.. the sea has an abundance of tropical fish and we swam daily with a number of sharks and rays. The food was exceptional and we particularly loved Lime. We chose to dine there almost every night. Sharif the waiter is a legend. He knew everything we wanted and looked after us beautifully. Chef Suresh prepared us exquisite freshly prepared meals to suit our particular dietary requirements and even gave us some of his prized recipes! I shall be recreating the dishes for my husband in Scotland! Sujata is such a beautiful soul who always touched my heart. Our young lad who cleaned our villa twice a day... I didnt get his name... he was just wonderful. What a great job.. and such a tough job too. These are just some of the team that made us feel very taken care of with sincerity... thank you everyone at Baros. The Island itself is just stunning... meticulously maintained by the hardworking garden team... they never stop! Keep your eyes peeled for the fruit bats.. they are quite a sight and the little bird called yellow. Thank you all for giving us the best honeymoon we could have imagined... if considering Baros... BOOK now! You will be very glad you did. See you soon. Kerry & David xx

After visiting this incredible island 7yrs ago it was always our dream to go back, very grateful that we finally got to do that 3 weeks ago. From the moment you are greeted at Male airport by the incredible staff that collect your bags and get you on the gorgeous speed boat you know this holiday to Baros is going to be very special! There really isn’t enough great words to say about this beautiful island, staff, food & accommodation! It’s small and intimate, immaculately maintained, with a house reef most islands would wish for! Every day is a pinch me moment, what dreams are made of! The stunning lighthouse for watching the sunset, delicious canapés & a drinks menu to live for! 😉 ( thank you to the lovely lady that served us every night sorry we didn’t get your name!) Dinner in the evening is incredible experience not to be missed also. The pool at Lime restaurant is a new addition since last here, lovely if you fancy a swim with a different view! Breakfast and dinner here is incredible, the choice is outstanding ( this is the biggest decision we had to make everyday …. Deciding what to have for breakfast / lunch / dinner! The staff are so friendly and happy to get you just about anything you would like! Huge thank you to Ahmed who looked after us above & beyond, along with the whole team at Lime who are all fantastic and a real credit to Baros. The sail bar at Palm court is also incredible, the setting here with palms and greenery that have been here since the beginning make it so pretty with the light and shade. ( great entertainment with music bands here a few days a week) The spa is a must visit! With gorgeous staff too! Our rooms were a beach villa (108) then for 6days a pool villa (212) both absolutely gorgeous ! Especially the pool villa, it literally blow our minds just how immaculate, stunning and well throughout it was.I promise you you will never want to leave! I must mention Azzam, from the moment you arrive you are assigned a member of staff that literally make you holiday so much better ( if this is even possible) you literally want or need for nothing! Anything you need Azzam was there for us . We can’t thank you enough for truly making our holiday even more fabulous! Do not hesitate about coming to stay at the stunning Baros island, there is always tears when we have to leave but they make you feel so special with a group of staff waving you off. Until next time 🙏🏻🌴🏝 Also I would like to mention when you arrive back at the airport for departure the guy that met us off the boat (evening 8th May ) was incredible, he collected all our luggage ( there was a lot too as 4 adults traveling) from the Baros boat took us into the fast track scanner and then checked our luggage in! ( He waited in the queue for over 45mins ) just so you know we didn’t see any other staff from ANY island do this service with their guests! Baros staff you are incredible! Thank you so much Debbie & Steve 😘

This is our first time in Baros with my wife to celebrate our babymoon and we cant say enough good things about it. We stayed for 6 days, 4 of them had unfortunately cloudy/rainy weather. And despite all that We leave Baros with very happy memories feeling completely pampered and relaxed. Heres the expected positives as mentioned in other reviews: -Baros has a very earthy, relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. -The gardens are immaculately kept and makes you feel in tropical heaven. - the house reef is simply mind blowing. Saw sharks at almost every snorkel run. Mantra rays, sea turtles, all kinds and colors and sizes of fish. - the lighthouse is a bit overpriced and you definitely get the fine dining experience. - there was live music every other night which was nice. - the dive center staff is really great. I hadnt dived for a number of years and Henry gave a short and adequate personal refresher course. During thr dive ı had peoblems with my mask and Ahmed yook care of it, just very friendly people who love their job and excellent guides. And heres the exceptional - in six letters. SERVICE - everyone in the resort was aware that my wife was pregnant. (Shes on month 4 and you cant tell the bump yet) The food was served accordingly, wherever we sat somebody rushed to her seat to place an extra pillow. I have NEVER seen that level of attention to detail to one single guest. - we were in the b&b package. They comped us for a free dinner on the beach to make up for thr bad weather we had. In summary, This is the first time I wrote a tripadvisor review in years because this peoperty deserves it. Kudos to all the staff and management. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Baros and had the most amazing holiday! 5 star service from start to finish and the staff are all so friendly and a special thanks to Hasir who was our main contact through our time there. We had a beautiful candlelit dinner on the beach one night which was so special. The breakfast was incredible but we did find overall the food for dinner expensive but tasty. The house reef was amazing and we snorkelled every day and seeing sharks was a particular highlight. Nil complaints and would highly recommend for anyone going to the Maldives!
