Nestled on 3 acres of beautiful gardens and native bushland, The Beet Retreat is a true haven for those seeking to relax and enjoy deliciously healthy meals.
Nestled in a tranquil pocket at the end of a quiet court just 15 minutes drive from vibrant Noosa central you'd be forgiven for thinking the holiday crowds were another world away.
Lay in hammocks on delightfully shaded verandahs, enjoying the cooling breeze, the delightful gardens and abundant bird song. In the mornings and early evening we are visited by local kangaroos and at night you may hear the occasional koala in the 90 acre Land For Wildlife designated next door.
The meals at The Beet Retreat are renowned for their full flavour, the hearty serving sizes and deceptively delicious health benefits! Bland is a dirty word here!
From a simple bed and breakfast stay or a 3 night "Escape" to a fully personalised "one to one" experience tailor made for you needs, The Beet Retreat is unique and unforgettable.
Recently took a 3night break at The Beet Retreat in Noosa. Day 1 started with a sunrise hike which was spectacular and the breakfast waffles were worth getting up for themselves…AMAZING. Our 3 night package included B&B each day, a cooking class, guided walks, The Beet Retreat food guide and Meal Planner, use of the infrared sauna and animal therapy on tap with Mac, KK, Sox & Subi. To say Jan went and above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect would be an understatement. What Jan doesn’t advertise is all the complimentary extras she provides, she does t even know she’s doing it as it’s just second nature to her!! We had so many free additional cooking classes, a cheese making class, a lemon tart making class and basically every meal was potential to learn new skills to pimp up my cooking repertoire. This woman gives so much of herself to her guests ( this is our second stay So I know it wasn’t a one off, she’s always like this!!!) Jan has a wealth of knowledge of health, fitness, vegan cooking and her local area. I could talk endlessly about the benefits of a stay here but I think it’s better you just book a stay and experience it for yourselves. Thanks Jan for EVERYTHING!!!…

Such a great relaxing experience. The room is beautiful and the bed was so comfy. Jan the owner and your host goes out of her way to make your stay a memorable one. The whole food plant base cooking class was fun and the food delicious 😋 The bush walk Jan took me on was through rainforest and she caters to your fitness level. A very enjoyable stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing host, amazing food and amazing experience - all this I’ve found at The Beet Retreat - Vegan B&B! If you want to be spoiled with vegan homemade and nourishing food, that’s the place to go. It’s not only about the food but way more. I’ll definitely be back there!

Jan is such a warm , joyous and caring person. Her home is a haven of piece and kindness. Her dog and 3 kitties are beautifully behaved and very affectionate. She has visiting birds and kangaroos in the garden. Jan took us for glorious hikes and runs in parts of the hinterland which we would never have found by ourselves and did yoga sessions and weights with us. We wanted an active holiday but Jan also accommodates less active people and completely tailors the retreat and meals to the visitors. This is why this is so unique. The food was absolutely delicious. After a week on the Empower retreat we feel rested and empowered to take the good health habits home with us. Thanks so much Jan and the little furry helpers ( Mac, KK, Smoxy and Subi).

I had a wonderful 3 night stay with Jan and her pets at The Beet Retreat in Cooroibah on the Sunshine Coast. I’d stayed at The Beet Retreat when it was in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, and couldn’t wait to experience it again in Queensland. What a fabulous, relaxing, tranquil environment. I was in need of some serious R&R and this was the perfect place for it. Jan is an amazing host, friendly and helpful, and her cooking (all vegan) is THE BEST! The B&B is clean, the beds are comfy, and the breakfasts are nutritious and delicious. I would definitely recommend having Jan cook dinner for you at least one night, and if you have time available ask her for a cooking class too. If she suggests a sunrise hike up Mount Cooroora, go for it! It’s a steep hike to the top but absolutely worth it. I highly recommend staying at The Beet Retreat - I will definitely be back!…

Had a wonderful varied experience on our Bali Marvelous Midlife Retreat: staying at Tanah Shanti in Ubud. Joined a group of 9 women for a week with Jan leading us. Over the course of the week we shared some of our life stories and where we are at emotionally and physically. Jan encouraged me to value and continue to challenge myself. The days included strength training, yoga, lots of laughter and relaxing by the pool. The beautiful staff provided delicious healthy meals and were very generous with their time. Activities included a sunrise walk, a bike ride, meals out, an amazing vegan cooking class at Moksa and meals out. Amongst all this was time to relax and of course explore the area and shop. Thanks Jan for facilitating a truly relaxing week with a challenge to truly value and care for myself. …

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feelings here Mary. It was a true joy for me to meet you and provide this week of care and connection and fun for you all. Your smile lights up the room and your sense of fun and play is contagious. Never ever lose that darling girl. You have that capacity to light up a room. Honestly. I attended the Marvellously Menopausal retreat in Ubud Bali June 3rd - 10th 2023 I was one of 9 women who attended this wonderful retreat. I arrived feeling exhausted and left feeling lighter in more ways than one. So much about this retreat was wonderful its hard to put in to words. The food was incredible and was a mix of food made on site and going out. It was all whole foods plant based and delicious. The inhouse activities included yoga, strength based exercises, discussions about life, getting and staying active and getting older etc. There was plenty of free time to swim, get to know the other women, read and relax, and do shopping in Ubud. Activities outside the accommodation included an amazing cooking class, sound bathing , a cycling tour and an early morning ridge walk. It is hard to put into words how wonderful this retreat was. Jan was a wonderful insightful retreat leader. I would highly recommend this retreat to any woman of a certain age that needs a break, wants to connect with other women, needs some direction for getting fit or staying fit, wants to age well or just wants to have fun. Thanks Jan you are awesome …

Dearest Rissy... your words really moved me. I know how hard life has been on you this past couple of years and I am delighted beyond words to know this time away on the Marvellously Midlife Retreat made such a difference for you. You are a strong, kind, compassionate, intelligent, resilient and beautiful woman... but I know even with all that life can smash you. Thank you for choosing to join us, and for bringing your sister and friend, and trusting in me to deliver something that would move the needle for you all. Big love, Big thanks. Jan xxx

Four days after returning from the inaugural Marvellously Midlife Bali Retreat, I am still revelling in the experience. The beautiful Villa Tanah Shanti was world class, and the beautiful staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was just right for us all. Jan worked incredibly hard to make sure activities were suitable for all abilities, or could be modified as required. It's hard to pick one highlight, as there were so many. The incredible cooking class at Moksa with renowned Chef Madre had us all buzzing with excitement. Such a hands on experience, and sublime food creations...with all of us keen to recreate back home (recipes provided). Ancient Sound Healing experience at Pyramids of Chi got us into the mood to let go of limiting thoughts and come to a place of surrender. Short sunrise hike, bike tour around rice fields allowed us opportunity to soak up beautiful views and culture. The food for the week was sublime. Healthy and nutritious, and a feast for the eyes, soul, not to mention stomachs :) Vicki, our amazing yoga instructor had us all blissed out with her incredible yoga nidra at the end of each day, along with other yin and flow practices. I have made some beautiful new friendships with other ladies all willing to make themselves vulnerable and open to tackle this phase of life with the vibrancy and vitality that Jan demonstrated is available to us at this age and beyond. …

Had such a wonderful stay on the weekend with Jan in her beautiful home To be honest, B&B’s aren’t really my thing, but I knew this was going to be different. I enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely return. It was so comfortable and not awkward at all. Jan is like a ray of sunshine, so bright, happy and welcoming, as is her fur fam, but all are also respectful of space too if that’s not your thing. For me it was 100% better being all vegan, but don’t let that deter you if you are not, because the food was ahh-mazing and definitely a good insight into how healthy and delicious living vegan can be! The whole house is beautifully styled and clean. The Sunrise room which I stayed in was roomy and the bed was super comfy, like sleeping on a cloud! It had its own private deck with the best swinging hammock chair - which was def a highlight. Couldn’t rate it highly enough and would definitely recommend staying here!…
