Having stayed at the Bay Horse before I knew what to expect. The room was clean and basic. The shower was not very powerful and the room was not private with cars parked directly outside the Patio doors which were the entrance to the room. There is live music at the weekend so dont expect peace and quiet ! The music started...

The room we stayed in, room 3, was a comfortable, no frills one. The views from the rear of the the pub are superb. The only downside was finding somewhere for breakfast on Easter Sunday morning! There was a good range of cask ales, I tried three different ones and all were in excellent condition. We would definitely stay again.

Every evening after 4pm this gem opens its doors. Always a friendly smile and even better an ever changing selection of beers and ciders. Each evening has a theme whether it be pool, cards, music etc. From time to time they have a beer and cider festival with numerous bands. Sundays a band and free food. For me the real...

I stayed to get a room for the night, and that's what it was; the room beneath the pub which was clean, and comfortable. The shower though was poor and with no radiator, cold and so my towel from the previous evening stayed damp.

Stayed one night before flying from Stansted. The room was warm and comfortable and represented good value for money. The pub itself is very traditional with a good choice of beers. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub does not do food and we went to the local Wetherspoons for breakfast

Traditional drinkers pub good selection of beers, bands every Saturday and Sunday and some Fridays. Great free food on Sundays from 4pm. Friendly atmosphere. Good place to meet up with friends for a drink and to listen to music.

This place was perfect for our five day stay in the Suffolk area. We stayed in room number 5 below the bar. For the price it was great. Friendly staff, room was cleaned well every day, lots of places to put things, WIFI was strong and fast, the outdoor picnic area out back is open to guests and looks across...

We stayed just one night, on our way to a wedding, and expected a good but basic stay. In fact, the staff could not have been more helpful, the room was amazingly good value, being clean and spacious of its type. Another time we would ask for Room 1, simply because of the view over the water meadows. If you...

Three of us stayed at the Bay Horse for one night. The welcome we received from the staff great and their hospitatlity was exceptional throughout our stay. We had a room. They were all very comfortable and clean and resonably priced. The pub itself had a great atmosphere. There was a wide selections of beers (real ale) and each of...

Had our wedding celebration there last year was fantastic, couldn't wish for a nicer couple running a pub. Live music is good, food on a Sunday is always extremely good which is free. The new outside area is child friendly and comfortable. Can't fault this pub in any way.
