The wines here are excellent. In particular the bedrock syrah and the "ring' sparkling wine are fabulous. The wines were very good value for money. In the US, these wines would easily sell for 2-3X the price. the hostess was fun to chat with and interested in her visitors. Best winery I've been to in years.

An entertaining way to learn about the wine making and to taste the wine in the underground cellar. Our guide,Elzette has so much knowledge and makes it a pleasurable experience. For those that don't drink wine, they make a grape juice which is awesome. The dessert wine is great too, both red and white. Bring your singing voices with, the acoustics...

a very unique and quite wonderful experience - the underground wine cellar tour is a must - what an incredible highlight to our road trip, which made this wine farm a worthwhile pit stop. the only wine estate that still charges for tastings, regardless of whether one purchases wine from them or not.

We arrived in August, looking for a nice family break away from the city. We had high expectations and were looking forward to a nice weekend away. Upon arrival, we noticed that we were the only people at the farm. (A bit strange, as it was at the end of the month and the surrounding areas were very busy, and...

Lovely terrace and views into the vineyards. Simple delicious lunch. Well price wines by the glass. Pet friendly as well. Just a 20 minute drive from Robertson. Such a nice farm with views. Cherry Chocolate Merlot a good price and very drinkable.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and wine tasting. The three MCCs on offer were great, with lovely stories behind each one. As it was our honeymoon, we bought a bottle of "The Ring" MCC, which was first produced for the winemakers wedding, which we plan on opening on our first anniversary. The rest of the wines were also quite...

Lovely spot for a casual dining. Simple dishes like steak and hake are served with love. This popular spot is only open weekends but has become a favorite with locals that have little choice to dine out in the evenings. Added bonus is that the delicious estate wines are served at cellar prices. Be responsible as the road is very...

We loved this cute, old workers cottage, which is in a beautiful, peaceful, rural setting with views of the vineyards and mountains beyond. Special treats were the bottle of Weltevrede wine, coffee and rusks and a braai with wood and firelighters provided.

A very special thanks to the entire family at Weltevrede. We recently celebrated a friend's 40th birthday on the farm. I cannot decide what is my favorite part of the visit...from the tour of the cellars, tasting fabulous wine, the tractor tour around the vineyard, or the amazing food we had for lunch/dinner. I felt like we were part of...

We stayed in the Belvedere Cottage in November, three friends and a toddler. It was very relaxing with amazing views over the valley. The cottage has 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with a bath (with shower hose) and 2nd bedroom with a bunk bed and ensuite with a shower. The kitchen is well equipped...
