We stayed over the May bank holiday in the Dovecote room. This is a lovely room with great views, very clean & a wonderful comfy big bed. The surrounding area of Dalwood is beautiful & Tim the host (who cooks a great breakfast) lent us a torch so we could see our way back after wandering over the fields to... More

Summer Lodge provided a really relaxing stay in a gorgeous part of the Devon countryside. We enjoyed the "balcony room" , a huge room with windows all round from which to enjoy the fantastic views across the fields. The room was bigger than it appeared in the photo's, was very comfortable with king size bed sofa, tv and a huge bathroom... Had a lovely two night stay at Summer Lodge! We stayed in The Linney (the cabin outside), it was so rustic and cosy with fantastic views! The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed the walk through the field to a cosy pub on an evening too! Would love to be there when... More

We stayed in the "Music Room" pictured in the photo. This is a huge room with a king sized bed and two singles. The room is actually in a separate building, so is very quiet. It is tastefully decorated, with tea and coffee provided. The couple who run the B&B are very friendly, and the breakfast is very good. There... More

We stayed in a log cabin in the grounds; it was wonderfully cosy and clean with a huge comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom, tea making facilities and attention to detail. You can sit up in bed and look out of the window at rolling farmland or better still, sit out on the deck and enjoy the peace and the view. Charming... More

Our first stay at Summer Lodge will not be our last. Adrienne and Tim are lovely hosts and cook a super breakfast. We had the Balcony Room, which is almost a suite, with dual aspect and a nice seating area. Despite mixed weather, we made the most of the week, even when a storm one day confined us to our... More

A great place to stay, set in an idyllic location with fantastic views of the Devonshire landscape. We stayed in the Music room, which was warm, very clean and cosy..perfect for our family. The owners were very friendly and hospitable and made us feel very welcome during our stay. Must also try the local pub, the Tuckers Arms (as recommended... More

Summer Lodge is a fantastic B&B - probably the best I have ever visited. The owner was smiley, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The rooms were just lovely in every way: Clean and very well decorated and maintained, with modern tasteful and super clean bathrooms. The beds were so inviting and proved to be... More

A pleasant change from conventional B&B's as it is away from the hustle and bustle of towns and main roads. This village location comprises of a large picturesque country cottage, and our accommodation comprised a spacious detached annex that was equally attractive and is know as The Music Room. Huge comfortable bed, quality fixtures and fittings and surrounded by a beautiful... More
