My wife and I stayed at Summer Lodge last week when we stayed 4 nights in the balcony room. It was very nice and extremely peaceful. Tim's wife was away but, in her absence, Tim did a splendid job in putting up with us, I mean looking after us!! The bed was very comfortable and the room was one of... More

Booked 2 nights here and just loved the entire experience. We stayed in The Linney - Devon for shed. This accommodation is in the garden and far from a shed! King size bed with two wing armchairs, a cosy ensuite and a devk to enjoy the summer nights. Tim was a great host and the full English breakfast was fabulous.... More

My wife and I stayed here before a meal at river cottage HQ we arrived a little late due to traffic and were shown our room (balcony suit) what a great room with a beautiful view. Breakfast was brilliant cooked and continental and our hosts were so friendly and full of advice and suggestions to help us out. Really reasonably... More

We stayed for one night in the ' music room' but could have stayed a lot longer if we had time. Our hosts were more than welcoming. The room is very spacious and spotlessly clean. The shower is super powerful and a great start to the day. The breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful to boot. We would recommend... More

We stayed over the May bank holiday in the Dovecote room. This is a lovely room with great views, very clean & a wonderful comfy big bed. The surrounding area of Dalwood is beautiful & Tim the host (who cooks a great breakfast) lent us a torch so we could see our way back after wandering over the fields to... More

Summer Lodge provided a really relaxing stay in a gorgeous part of the Devon countryside. We enjoyed the "balcony room" , a huge room with windows all round from which to enjoy the fantastic views across the fields. The room was bigger than it appeared in the photo's, was very comfortable with king size bed sofa, tv and a huge bathroom... Had a lovely two night stay at Summer Lodge! We stayed in The Linney (the cabin outside), it was so rustic and cosy with fantastic views! The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed the walk through the field to a cosy pub on an evening too! Would love to be there when... More

We stayed in the "Music Room" pictured in the photo. This is a huge room with a king sized bed and two singles. The room is actually in a separate building, so is very quiet. It is tastefully decorated, with tea and coffee provided. The couple who run the B&B are very friendly, and the breakfast is very good. There... More

We stayed in a log cabin in the grounds; it was wonderfully cosy and clean with a huge comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom, tea making facilities and attention to detail. You can sit up in bed and look out of the window at rolling farmland or better still, sit out on the deck and enjoy the peace and the view. Charming... More

Our first stay at Summer Lodge will not be our last. Adrienne and Tim are lovely hosts and cook a super breakfast. We had the Balcony Room, which is almost a suite, with dual aspect and a nice seating area. Despite mixed weather, we made the most of the week, even when a storm one day confined us to our... More
