You are best booking a couple of days in advance if you want afternoon tea. We asked to eat outside as it was a sunny day and we had walked to the hotel with our dog. The staff were great and cheerfully accommodated our request. They also brought out a bowl of ice cubes for our dog to cool her... More

Set in very lovely grounds that are well worth a good long stroll to admire the fields and vistas full of deer, unfortunately once inside the bedrooms and common areas are clearly in need of quite a few million to replace the threadbare couches and tired bathrooms and carpets etc. We stayed in a barons room and after finding a... We stayed in Swinton Park for two nights recently. The room was excellent and breakfast was very good as well. The staff had a practiced warm attention to detail, nothing we asked for was too much trouble. However, during critical times (e.g. check in, check out and peak breakfast times) more manpower may have been helpful. Although our room was... More

At the time I was very disappointed with the lack of service we got from Swinton Park and therefore have taken time to review my experience from a distance. I have reflected on my feelings towards the visit – and the parallel would the same as a friend who bought an expensive car only to find it didn’t live up... More

The title of this review basically says it all! The estate is more that 22,000 acres and includes activities for everyone - from children, to singles to marrieds. We have been here for two days thus far and have been able to hike, ride horses, explore birds of prey and tonight we have an amazing dinner planned with our multi-generational... More

I absolutely love it here, the scenery, grounds and setting are amazing. The deer park, the woodlands, the lakes make a beautiful walk. The feature rooms are beautiful we have stayed in 3 and never been disappointed. The restaurant is amazing, the food and service is second to none. All staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. I can't wait... More

I recently booked dinner for 40 friends and i to celebrate my 40th birthday at Swinton Park. The setting, hotel and grounds are amazing. The hotel rooms are reasonable priced for the excellent quality. Unfortunately the customer service has been a big let down, the staff are inattentive, unorganized and unhelpful. i am still waiting for a response after being... More

This is one of the few surviving upmarket restaurants in The Yorkshie Dales serving Sunday Lunch. Two of our favourites have stopped doing it so,for the first time in about fifteen years, we visited Swinton Park. We can offer no excuse for our absence, save that it is a bit of a trek from our home in Wharfedale. The whole experience... More

Had an amazing weekend at Swinton Park! A beautifully grand country hotel surrounded by fields, hills, deer, and rabbits - a great escape! The wife, daughter and I had a really relaxing weekend! The food was a gastronomic delight, with excellent service! We ate in Samuels Restaurant on the 1st and 3rd evening, so got to sample a number of... More
