The food is absolutely great here had the Yorkshire Pudding filled with roast beef wife had the lasagne really good. Starters were good as well, fish cakes good and the garlic mushrooms good. The landlord and lady are moving on end of this week hope the new owners are as good and also hope they welcome overnight motorhome stopovers as... More

Stayed here for one night while on our "Way of the Roses" cycle trip. Rooms are clean and modern. My room was downstairs (the other rooms are on the first floor) and I suspect it could be noisy at times but on a Monday evening everything was quiet. Dinner was very good - I had sea bass on risotto. Next... More

Visited the pub as we were heading into Ripon for the afternoon. This pub is a great place to visit if you are going to the races. We were lucky enough to visit during the discount times which proved excellent value for money. We have also visited on a Sunday and experienced a beautiful roast lunch. Well worth a visit... More

Wonderful hotel, the owners and staff offer true Yorkshire hospitality. The food is well presented and there is plenty of it. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone, the sweets are not the same old same old. My room was reasonably spacious, clean and included everything I could need. Will definitely come back

An excellent experience. I'm not one for staying at 'B&B's but this has definitely made me reappraise this decision. The room was clean, functional and of modern furnishings. The Landlord & Landlady were very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was, again, of excellent quality and I can only assume that the evening meals were the same judging by the people... I booked a table for a large family group for Sunday lunch without ever having visited the pub, but Amanda was so helpful and accommodating she made everything seem very straightforward! We weren't able to confirm definite numbers or pre-order our meals but that wasn't a problem for her. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was... More

I visited today for the first time with my elderly mother and sister as we were looking for somewhere to take a friend for a 70th birthday lunch. The access was very good for people with mobility problems and the food was excellent and served by a very helpful and friendly waitress. We had the liver and a belly pork... More

Food was excellent. I really recommend the homemade lasagne as it was absolutely priceless. Good quality for the money. Good investment. A bit hard to get the waitress' attention but it was overall a very nice meal. I recommend :) ! Lots of love from France !
